The 288 GTO is still the most beautiful ferrari ever, in my humble opinion!

Really? A major redesign of the front suspension would be necessary as the coilover is in the way of a driveshaft. And the layout with the gearbox behind the engine, how would a drive shaft to the front run, through the engine sump? Not saying it is impossible but I'm not surprised it was never done, like on one of the GTO EVO prototypes.

You have a strong argument there.

The gentleman in Italy to contact is: [email protected], Emilio Paltrinieri.

The NET price would be 1950 Euros plus whatever shipping.

He advises to count 30 days/1 month from point of order.

I can vouch for him having done business with him successfully & smoothly multiple times over a period of time.

    Go for it.

    Ciao Emilio, Mille Grazie!

The GTO is so beautiful that it even looks pretty good in white. . . but that would just about be my last color choice, save for something obnoxious like lime green, pastel tone, or motorboat metallic.

While I don't subscribe to the popular notion that all Ferraris must, by law, be red, I'm almost there with regard to the GTO. No other color quite seems to do it justice for me - except, perhaps silver.

Sorry, Enzo wanted them red, and red will be the color.

Scaglietti must have been instructed that they were all to be finished in Italian Racing Red, because my understanding is that's the way he originally supplied each and every one...

Yes, several RHD 288 GTOs were made for the Sultan of Brunei post-production by Pininfarina.
