I'm getting an intermittent buzzing which sounds as if it's coming from the speedo on my 360. Usually occurs over 40mph sounds almost like a cable end whirring around.
    Any ideas?.

    Cheers

Are you sure its coming from the speedo area ??? I have a similar sound as you described but its coming from the window seal area and it starts at 60mph. I have a 360 Spider.

The 360 speedometer is electronic, as are the rest of the instruments. You are not hearing a cable at all, because there are none.

The sending unit for the speedometer can be unplugged.

We had a thread here once where someone complained about a mysterious buzzing noise above certain speeds, and it turned out to be a car from the Middle East that had a warning buzzer that engaged above a certain speed. Don't remember the exact details.

This noise is intermittent and does dissapear for a few seconds if you go over a bump in the road so I'm assuming that something is flapping around behind the dash or speedo.
I thought I read somewhere that the speedo faces where made up of two thicknes's of plastic and rattle against each other (or did I did I dream this).

Trip reset stalk against the Perspex screen? That is the source of the rattle in my 355 speedo.

Having done the yellow tach and red dial conversion I can tell you that all the clear faces are extremely loose and will shake & rattle at every bump. That's why I put a dab of clear glue on re-installation
