Like Andreas I was out and about on Saturday (top up though). Spent Saturday am replacing the battery with a new one, let the ECU's reset and thought at least now it's warm so it and I deserve a spin ( no pun intended) Got a number of funny looks. Really can't wait for the Spring Season to get started. So far May 1st at the Glen seems to be the only item of the calendar

That goes without saying: Every winter the battery dies completely and I replace it with another one. At least they don't cost much.

You guys need to use floating battery maintainers. They cost like 7 bucks at Harbor Freight and work great. Come driving season, I've never had a battery failure after winter storage.

I wish that was an option. While securely tucked away and surrounded by concrete and rows of other cars, there is no electrical outlet near my 308 and running a 300 feet cable extension through a semi public garage is really not gonna fly with the valet parking staff.

How about taking the battery out of the car, placing on a ruber mat, and throwing the float charger on it once per month?

That's probably going to be my strategy next winter. Problem with that approach is, that the valet guys want the car to be driveable at all times (then again with a dead battery it isn't anyway) and I just hate to deinstall/reinstall the battery for every spin around the block: The location in the 308 is about as user unfriendly as you can imagine. Oh wait, no, that honor goes to the 348...;)

Another option is to install a "quick disconnect terminal" on the battery. I have seen them on Griots, basically you unscrew this green knob, and it totally cuts the circut. I had Bentley Turbo R and the draw was so heavy, that if I did not kill the battery (granted bentley has a built in kill switch in trunk), the car could not last more than a week without a charge/drive. This will take any extra load off the battery, which with an occasional drive and indoor storage, might get you through the winter.

I was a bit disappointed with that one.
Felt underpowered (for a 500hp car) and too close to DB9 that I really disliked (got rid of it after just 3 months of ownership at a huge loss, back in '06)

Are you absolutely positively sure it was a Testarossa? I can't imagine why anyone would remove the strakes. My vision sucks so I make many 'visual' mistakes........sure it wasn't an NSX or something of that ilk?
