not yours? btw, I received a copy of the options list for 458. Prices add up to
quite a bit if you start ticking ...
I remember the price that I paid for my 430 included 50k worth of options for me
to choose from the list...746k total. That price looks like a damn good deal next
    to the 920k for a basic 458...

Sigh...it sure looks like a gorgeous car. Sometimes I think, not good to try the best always.
Bar is set higher everytime. I remember when I was contented with a 1.6litre honda vtec. Can rev to 8500 rpm and more.
Hmm....just like the 458...and also 100 hp per litre output..but the honda was 17 years ago!

Yes its not cheap if you go with all the options... so one has to choose very carefully.
    Rims +$15k
    CF Steering +15k
    CF seat +20k
CF everything in the cabin +50K???
    Shields +4.4k

    The latest options include:
    4 point seat belt
    Lifter
    Rear view camera

    Lifter? from factory?
you think its a must have like for lambo which are very low...without it cant clear
a lot of basement car parks
Rear view cam...that one must cost at least 10k. I think I paid 2500 for the one in my gtr,
    original factory installed somemore...

Yes its a factory fitted lifter. I don't think its necessary. The F458 is only 7mm lower than the F430

If you opt for the rear sensors I don't think its necessary to have the rear view cam. The rear sensors are connected to the front left screen which will give you a visual distance indicator.

I had the rear parking sensors on my 430. Really cheapo sounding beep..and it didnt
really help much at all. But it wasnt connected to any instrument that showed distance
reading. I wouldnt opt for it again.
    Lifter adds weight too...not good.

The rear parking sensor is different now. Its like the Bentley's. Its hooked up to the screen and can see the distance. Its better now. I tried it on the California. Very good.

Me thinks it's not necessary as the front overhang is rather short but guess we'll only know when u start using it.

hahaha but speaking of that I'm not too bothered with the externals of my car anymore. I just realised that I've never actually waxed my Murcie over 2.5yrs of ownership but did paint it 1.5 times. Maybe ah Long is right as he claims he uses the best lacquer in the business. It doesn't have reverse sensor or camera & no rear diffuser either except the big fat tyres as bumpers.

An SV owner said he picked up chips even on the roof without visiting trackdays which shows how low it is.

For the porker, it was mint when I picked it up last month but it's earned a lot of chips by now & am thinking, it'll be scratched or chipped again so why bother painting it but I'm fussy with internals though.
