As a guy who is closer to the 36 inch end of the yardstick than the 1 inch end, I have a compelling need for an exotic. Over the past week, I have devoured the information on this forum and on the internet. I want to thank everyone on the forum for adding to my education on F-Cars (360 and 430) and Gallardo's.

I believe it has been said many times on this forum, "no one needs a ferrari or a lamborghini"....but I want one and therefore I shall have one. I haven't decided which car yet but I'm in the final throes of my education. Now a few test drives, one more go around with the 360 vs 430 vs lambo threads and we should be ready....although in life sometimes the hunt is better than the capture so it may take a little longer than I anticipate.

If any of you can add anything...it is always welcome. I will post when the hunt is over in the next months.

    Thanks again

Rhett......all I can tell you is that if you do your homework you will not be disappointed in a Ferrari! :)

If money is no object I will say then F430 without any hesitations. I owned the three of them and I prefer the Gallardo over the 360, but the Ferrari over the Gallardo. If I sell the F430 I'll be going back to a Gallardo not a 360, or maybe a Porsche GT3 over a 360.

Money always an object of either desire or need....but I understand your point. Have had many Porsche Turbos and after your F430 and Gallardo...don't think you would be happy unless you want to live on the track with the GT3....Thanks

Oh yes money is an issue for me, but some folks have plenty to burn on toys. I have had many Porsches too, including turbos. But I drove a GT3 and totally prefer it over a turbo even if I was to daily drive it. Good luck with your next buy and in reality either one is a fine choice.

Read my post on the F430 being a wonderful thing.
For the same money I could easily had a Lambo or similar but there is always that special something about the mystique of Ferrari that you can't put a price on.

The kicker for us in Australia is we have to pay about 3 times that of your same US dollars to get the same car....that sucks!
