A week ago Sunday I saw an SLR, a Viper, a Murcie, and a Vette driving on the road near Hanada Airport.
Did not realize that you were "lurking" here in Japan lately, Jim ? By the way, that is Haneda Airport, I believe ? w/ smiles Jimmy PS. Yes, there are good share of exotics and not so exotics here.
in 2008 while in Yokohama on business, I was out on a morning walk when a bunch of 911's roared by. I asked a guy in a car parts store (like Pep Boys, on Japanese acid) what was up and he said there was a Porsche gathering not far away. There gathered some wierd and wonferful creatures http://s180.photobucket.com/albums/x155/kedelbach/2008%2010%2019%20Tokyo%20and%20Yokohama/Day%201%20Yokohama%20car%20show%20and%20scooters/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ah, the famous Rauh Welt 911. A real monster! Myself and a friend are planning a one-month road trip across Japan early next year. What are the locals like about having photos taken of their cars as that's what we plan on doing a lot of.
Nobody at the club event seemed to mind, and neither did any on the street though I took more photos of scooters in the 'wild' than cars. If anyone in the car has visible tattoos, I'd probably not take a photo of them
It is OROCHI by Mitsuoka Motors. It is sold at $100K in Japan. It has the V6 engine. It is a "casual" super car.
Just got back from Japan and posted a bunch of photos on my blog check them out! http://tezta.blogspot.com/
Amazing! Great pics, Jon. I'm planning a trip there early next year with a friend, hiring a car and doing a bit of a sight-seeing road trip. I might have a couple of questions for you about getting around Japan at some point if you wouldn't mind answering them for me.
No problem just let me know if you have any questions, i spent most of my time in Yokohama, and if you go to Japan please visit a store called Super Autobacs its fantastic, like a toys r us for car stuff. Its a huge store and a chain so you can find them in many places but the one i went to was down the street from the hotel we stayed at Royal Park Yokohama.
Haha! Ironically, I think I suggested Super Autobacs to you (I think) in the 'find me a dyno in Japan' thread. I will be sending you a PM in the next few days I'm sure.
