Hey guys, I've decided to throw up a poll to see what people are interested in for the league that we're trying to get together.

If you have any suggestions for the league, write them down here and we'll discuss them!

Here's the link to the original Forza 3 thread, with SPEEDCORE's weekly challenges!

Something that was EXTREMLY succesful in another league I was in was a faux-touring car series. Provided for some REALLY awesome racing and was definitely a series for both the drivers and tuners. The rules were similar to this (recalling from memory here):

    -All cars MUST seat four
    -B700 or less
-Cars MUST have all suspension and aero upgrades to "race" components
    -No engine swaps allowed
    -No race tires
    -No wheels larger then 18"
-Sim tires, fuel and damage on
-Force no line, no ABS, no TCS, no STM

Race evenings consisted of two 10 lap races, first race grid was set to start by trueskill, second race reverse trueskill. Two distance races of 25 laps were thrown in at the mid and end points of the season

Essentially you started with a D class car that you race prepped to run the series. It was excellent racing. Some cars (like my Mini) were AWESOME on short twisty tracks, but got creamed at tracks like Road America, while the Cobalts and such were much better at the longer tracks.

It's both a tuners and drivers series. The racing was close enough that a good driver could overcome a poor setup and still put in a respectable showing while a good tuner could drive in a mediocre fashion and likewise do ok. The cars were also low enough performance that a new driver could jump in and not do too much collateral damage and have fun, but also high enough performance to keep competent drivers entertained.

Any questions I'd be glad to answer... :)

Yeah I tried to post up a poll with options like that to vote on, but I forgot to hit the poll button....d'oh!

Also, maybe this league should be limited to certain Ferrari's?

I think it would be pretty cool to do Rallys on Fujimi Kaido and Positano, go the whole 10 yards with special decals etc etc.

I have ALWAYS thought that doing a Ferrarichat F355 Challenge series.

We could race on some of the real tracks. No TC, no SC. Only ABS. Everyone has the same settings. We could paint our cars how we want- that would be the only mod allowed.

I think it would be pretty sweet.

NWaterfall voted for "Ferrari only" AND "Any cars"...

I'm not sure if I'd have time for this, but I'll be watching this thread.

    ABS is for wussies ;):D

But yeah, F355 league or FXX....I'm down for either! Personally, I think that the F355 league would be better because the cars are a lot slower so everything doesn't happen as fast. The two lobbies I usually play in online are A Class and R1 Class. R1 is fun, but if you get paired up with a total n00b on a straight, they're going to jerk across and run you off. A Class gives a lot more reaction time because the cars are slower.

I just started racing without ABS recently. I was finding that I couldn't go full brakes with ABS on anyway, so I might as well turn it off. I'm really preferring it off now, just have to be more careful.

I think I'd have trouble without the braking line on unfamiliar tracks, though I only use it as a reference and don't usually follow it exactly.

I think gutless superlight cars and small tracks with a lot of laps would be a blast!!

There was a race in Gran Turismo (4, I think?) that was all Citroën 2CVs. Most boring race ever! As long as we don't go that extreme, I think it'll be fine.

That was my thought as well, except I don't think the challenge cars had TC, if they did by all means use it.

I don't mean to hijack Kieran's thread or ideas but if its alright with everyone I would like to sponsor an entire F355 Challenge Series instead of doing just one race. I was thinking late saturday nights (EST) would probably be the best for everyone around the globe.

    2/27 - Road Atlanta Full
    3/6 - Motegi Full
    3/13 - Silverstone GP
    3/20 - Mugello Full

That will take us through the next month. F355 CH stock except slicks, ABS only (maybe brake line), I did check and no TC on any F355s. Realistic race paint, if anyone needs one let me know I have quite a few. Purse will be $100k per race except tomorrow's which will be $250k. Sometime this summer will also bring the championship race with a $1,000,000 purse. All I ask is that if you have any spare 48-hour Xbox Live Gold cards that came with games I'd appreciate it.
