http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/Porsche-Cayenne/247768/ I would never buy one because I don't need one. But I know there are a lot of 911 guys and Ferrari/Lambo guys who use these as daily drivers so here you go. The front end looks a little better - rear even fuglier than before IMHO (looks too Hyundai-ish from rear view, something any Korean/Japanese firm could design).
Uglier than ever (IMVHO). The rear is simply atrocious. Makes the current Cayenne look good by comparison. Image Unavailable, Please Login
http://www.vancouversun.com/cars/Porsche+reveals+next+Cayenne/2608295/story.html the cayenne has not had a radical change in appearance since its introduction 7 years ago. this is typical of porsche. the new cayenne will sell well, in part due to the dramatic improvement in mileage. i think it looks great. I have to agree with both of you. In the photo of the white Cayenne that Carlo posted, it looks like some kind of Kia/Daihatsu. Maybe it's the tail lights or the plastic crap around the wheel wells. In the nicely lit photo of the black Cayenne, I like it.
The front end looks really, really, good IMHO.......the only thing about the rear I don't like is the design of those horrible taillight assemblies. They're FUGLY !!!! Don't know if that translates into German.
I like it. Looks like it's using the lengthened Q7 platform instead of the shorter one (shared w/ Touareg - sp?).
I agree, there is no reason why Porsche should be building an SUV in the first place. That's what VW is for.
I've had 5 cayennes because I like the performance and handling. But this one may be tough. Will have to see it in person, but at first glance I'm not feeling the japanese styling. It better be really fast..
You may get your wish, given the new ownership of Porsche. And FWIW I agree with you, I think Porsche just wanted to be able to cash in on its badge to people who can't own a sports/GT car anymore.
In German, FUGLY = HAESSLICH. In this case, though, I'm not sure it's deserved. I'll have to see one in person, but I think it might be okay. (Which isn't to say that I can't see some Asian-inspired lines in the rear)
Well, it is highly likely that if Porsche had never built the pepper car, it would be a far smaller company than it is today. Frankly, I'm glad Porsche has the resources to offer something like the Cayman in addition to the 911. Dale
I don't know if I like it or not. I must see it in person. The interior is reminiscent of the Panamera layout. I kinda liked to previous design, especially the GTS.
with a little photoshop tweaking, the cayenne can be improved! i darkened (smoked) the tail lights and removed the badges. before is on the left. after is on the right. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've also been able to dramatically improve the appearance of the Cayenne with a few quick touch-ups in MS Paint: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Such a waste of petrol. Everybody that drives a 4WD truck around a city should be taxed 500% with every fuel, heck any purchase related to these unnecessary cars. If you live on a farm, fair enough ... but come on stop the wanking!! Pete
?!?!!!? If you look at it that way then you should have your fuel taxed 500% for driving anything beyond a 1.2 liter city car. What kind of ridiculous reasoning is that?
