well at least you still can enjoy casual driving soon buddy soon.. waiting for the rs then i'll head up to sepang again...i havent been tracking for 4 years odd now? cant even remember the circuit anymore
"casual" is the key word here ... since no choice locally ... dun worry ... u'll recall it once u get there ... & a couple of corners come up faster than u remember ...........
What do u guys think about this car? http://www.oldtimermanchester.com/details.asp?carID=154 RHD & one of 70 built
Damn.... thanks for sharing Jon....With a big wallet I would go for: 1964 Giulia Competizione 1959 DB4 1967 DB6 1960 Austin Healy 1959 250GT Cal Spyder 1966 275GTB 1971 daytona Spyder 1972 Miura
Sorry Jon, never liked the look of that car... just seemed too interrupted somehow... and the four headlights just added to the fussiness in my mind...
i quite like the lines- reminds me of some of the ferraris from that era- in fact u put a prancing horse on it ,i probably wouldve been fooled
No prob. This car just popped out while searching & @ 75Kpds sounds affordable but it looks tired. I like long cars with streamlined look so the 356 doesn't appeal to me I was looking for Lamborghini 350GT or 400GT. Yes, the orig. car that the man wanted to compete with Ferrari. Only a couple of hundreds were made but all LHD & now worth about 150-200K pds, I think it has potential. Too much money for me & most likely kept in the living room. But if u guys see, these are still peanuts compared to a modern car here. Some extra information here. http://www.classiccars.co.uk/lamborghini/400_gt_2_2/532/ I bet it'll hit Euro300K by 2012 if all goes well. Another route is to get hooked up to the Brunei garage & it has sold many. Was speaking to an NZ friend this morning who bought their yellow 964 Speedster with just 7km. The importer there bought 15cars & still has a few left. A mint 550 Maranello with just 500km on the clock was sold for S$250K. The other two ultra rare are the F50 & F40, both RHD were sold in London about 2-3yrs ago.
That lambo looks very interesting. But in LHD so forget about importing it. Yes mate, wonder how many interesting cars there must be in the garage that we could try and pick up. Sadly none would be registrable here...
Yes, I first noticed how beautiful they are in the museum. They were almost worthless in the 70/80s but then again even the 250GTSWB was quite cheap too U know what, I'm actually considering even LHDs & keep it there for holiday drives or in Malaysia where u have abundance of road & friendly police My other concern is how these classics drive & handle as we're too spoilt with modern cars. Speaking of that. U boys drive safe, Friday traffic is heavy esp around town.
Wow check out the zonda in this thread! It's really unique and beautiful. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=275303
The authorities should make an exception for cars like these. It'll be more than just favour to you, it'll be a favour for everyone if it gets driven on public roads. It's just so brilliantly gorgeous!
Can't agree more. These cars are usually bought by enthusiasts who love them to bits. Magnificent cars & I can't even find a scale model of it No overdraft?
