Junkers Pilot auto arrived today. It's a very nice, good looking watch. Heavy, solid feeling, all round quality for reasonable $$. Seems to be keeping excellent time so far. I'm going tho synchronize it with my rolex, wear both for a day, and see the result.
Ordered a Panerai, Breitling and a Muller! Excellent! Glad to see you got one - the Junkers with the horizon on the dial is still on my wish list.
That's a nice watch also. I'll be wearing mine daily and will post longer term impressions in a couple of weeks.
The Junkers you're thinking of is now a part of EADS (they were bought by MBB, who in turn was bought by DASA, who were bought by EADS). They were, however, an old (first model in 1915) aviation company in Germany, one that lasted (as part of MBB and JUMO (Junkers Motoren -- Junkers Motors)) into the postwar world. Junkers watches is an independent company who is using the name 'Junker' (which is a title meaning, essentially, 'young lord' that was used by the Prussian (Eastern German) nobility prior to the 20th century. The watches are actually built by POINT tec Electronic GmbH, a company founded in 1987. They use the Junkers name as part of their aviation-inspired line.
Chris, I apreciate the info. I did remember Junkers was an old-time German airplane mfg. concern, but that's about it. Anyway, it's a solid, wellmade watch with a name you don't see everywhere, also not a piece of Chinese repli-crap.
I cant belive that they do not make that watch with solid end links. IMO a watch that is made on a bracelet without a solid end link looks cheap.
Does Rolex actually make a Submariner that looks like this? Because this is badass. Image Unavailable, Please Login
No, the blue face comes on stainless and gold, or white gold now iirc. There are some aftermarket companies that will black coat it and build it with a different dial and bezel if you want though.
Yep yep. FerrariChatter 1intouch sent his Rolex away and had it "blackened". Looks great too! Lol!! Doesnt sound right does it?
hey PAP, actually it came blackened.... was done by a london based co. they customize them pretty much any way you want.
I just ordered a Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and a Rolex GMT. I will post pics in two weeks when I get them.
Which GMT and who from? I've been eyeing up 2 - one a vintage model for a little over $200 and one a GMT II that's a much better rep for $460. I'm also deciding over a vintage Daytona and a Panerai 111.
I went through WatchEden. It is their cheap ones. $108. I don't have the money to drop on the higher end models. These are the two; 1. http://www.watcheden.com/rolex-gmt-master-ii-automatic-working-gmt-full-gold-with-green-bezel-and-dial-i-12056-p-1.html 2. http://www.watcheden.com/audemars-piguet-royal-oak-working-chronograph-with-white-dial-i-10099-p-1.html
I've been looking at this one: http://www.watcheden.com/rolex-gmt-master-ref-1675-vintage-edition-red-blue-bezel-same-chassis-as-swiss-eta-version-i-20303-p-1.html
I don't know what seperates a $108 from a $128 model. I know I am happy with my $108 Breitling, but everyones expectations are diffrent. It's not a huge amount to take a gamble on.
Nice watches! Im going to go a Rolex next I reckon. Maybe this Submariner. http://www.watcheden.com/rolex-submariner-harley-davidson-limited-edition-automatic-with-silver-dial-i-11671-p-1.html
To each his own but if your going to get a replica wouldnt you want it to look like the real deal? rolex doesnt make watches that are like most of these.
hello...somebody has bought rolex replica ???? can post photos ? i ' m little collector of origianl rolex and i can say different....
