    Welcome!
Buying a Ferrari is actually quite a simple process. The problem is that everryone has an opinion and that complicates decision making.

What we check for in a normal car applies to a Ferrari too. A Ferrari tends to be more temperamental n therefore warranty is One of the key points to look out for in choosing your car. Nothing wrong in buying a PI 430. Local agent will look after it. PI California n 458 gets complicated.
Test drive one. Then decide on color n condition. U can PM me if u want to discuss specifics.

Jon, actually you can start looking at the early 70s which to me was one of the finest eras in automobile designs. Miura, 365BB, Daytona 275GTBs are all eligible to brought in now, just a question of price. Living with them is another diff story again and that may very well test your patience. Sometimes these dream cars may turn out to be nightmares with endless electrical and rust problems.

Maintenance should not be very difficult as there are no electronics, just pure mechanicals. My dad used to tune carbs by ear alone and I'm sure he can still do it. Parts can be gotten from Europe without too much trouble.

One other car that could be even better looking is the E-Type esp the 3.8 Series 1 droptop. And there are conversions which make them extremely liveable to modern standards although I don't think they would qualify for concours after that so less investment value?

Those wire wheels are sooo sexy but a real pain to clean!

Stumbled upon the "Comfort Taxi" blue Murcielago (LP640-4?) Roadster earlier this afternoon at Little India. Such a gorgeous car! What a pleasant surprise!

That constitutes abuse! Did John get back to you on the E-Type? If no, I will see him later in Mar and ask.

What a way to describe the colour, ha ha! I don't think the owner will be flattered to hear that.

Here's part of it. As you can see, I'm a simple man!

Too be honest, getting a real classic Ferrari scares me a little when I think of the practical issues. So for now, the 512 lives as a model. If I get a real one, it has to be the BBi version although the 365BB with carbs is so typical Ferrari.

Will ask around when in London. The exchange rate is even more appealing now!

I saw this when walking on a cold wintery night in Japan (where else do you see white cars everywhere?). Not very well kept nor a very attractive car but unique. Don't know the cc.

Other car I saw was a 456 in maroon. Nice car and the best looking 4 seater from the Horse.

Were any Countach ever registered in S'pore? If no, why? Would add lots of colour to our roads to see these cars and it is heartening to hear someone bringing in a 350GT.

Hahaha I've got no idea what the colour is called. And that's for a-lack-of-a-better-description.

If the owner's here I hope you don't take offense!
