    Good evening Singapore!

Shouldn't be much prob. Cars are all the same, just an engine, gearbox etc. needs the usual fluids & tune the Carbs. There's a few specialists workshop left.

Oh my, I think we should make everyone attend proper track school plus the mandatory regulations on track 1st before heading in. Just look @ what happened in Zhuhai (Hong Kong thread) recently, an experienced trackie was killed because some newbie cut into his line.

I didn't attend any proper school but was told never to cross the white line on the left while entering the track as people are running down the straights FAST & always overtake on the right? & when I see anyone up my ass real hot, I'll keep left & let him do the right thing.

speaking as a track novice i must say that for a newbie, sometimes just not crashing out by oneself ,trying to figure out racing line ,what gear to use or even remembering the corners and braking ,is aleady overwhelming. throw in a faster car coming up behind u n seeing it loom large in yr mirrors can cause panic.sometimes u dont even know how n where u shld pull off to let him pass.

I hear from Fong that there was 1 Countach registered in Singapore but was exported when its COE ended.

I agree! Singapore has too little special cars!

i attended the pilota course some yrs back and i enjoyed it very much. i have not gone on the track since than as i have concerns about safety on the track. unless there is adequate time between cars, either i end up damagaing my car or getting myself or someone else hurt. Driving at high speed on a track, especially when it is congested and with all kinds of drivers out there is not a very safe thing. You are right, that basic rules must be observed otherwise, there will be an accident waiting to happen.

Wow! Why the sudden increase in track session prices?

Any idea on the chances that Sepang will revert back to the old prices or procedures?

Guys, I've been checking up on the E type but don't know what's the diff. The late model FHC seems to be the most affordable with some only GBP19K & very clean piece. Well, according to the ad that is :D

Only heard that the 1st series is the most valuable but I'm looking for one to use with better ergonomics, handling etc.

Be warned, E-Types have never really caught on even in dry Cali. The cars were well known to be rust buckets.

I do have some beautiful pics on my HD.

Really? Forgot about this Singapore's problem! Well, in fact almost all pre-70s are rust buckets since the bodies were not rustproofed! Anyway, it's more for those Sunday mornings & strictly weather permitting drives, otherwise car sits under cover!

Harold, hope your RS is doing fine & just an easy fix. Maybe a poor clutch? In any case, u can always buy the orange one sitting in Bangsar as your spare :D

I'm in Hanoi now & surprisingly, saw a yellow Aston Martin Vantage, white Bentley FS, yellow 997 Carrera, white R8 with black wheels & another R8 just shot pass my room! Otherwise, everybody's just doing 30km/h....

In Spore or anywhere in the world?

Spore will be in the following order

#1 230 or 280 SL Pagoda. I find them the most appealing and the most over rated in terms of pricing. This also directly leads to a sense of strong demand or perfect marketing by AB Motors. Whichever way you look at it. I also think there is a strong classic community of folks here who can maintain this car well in Spore. But I would like to see a ground up rebuild and not some JB paint job next to be Tebaru Highway. I once looked at a car some 12 years ago and the ang mo lady owner was very proud that her car was "painted and rebuild" in JB.
#2 A Classic 911S or 911T. I would not do a RS replica. I choose this once again as they can be easily maintained here in Spore and enough know hows.

Both cars will ideally be in black with all the trimmings in Chrome. I will also proceed to buy a dozen cases of autosol and more slaves. :)

    If anywhere in the world.

I would seriously like to consider a collection of the greats of the 1980s and 1990s.

    I would have two collection;
Group A Touring Cars: E30 M3s, RS500 Cosworth with the full YBT engine and 8 injector setup, I do not like Mercedes of this demographic, but I wont mind a 500E estate.
    Group B Rally Cars: a lone RS200

I somewhat shy away from the supercars of those eras and I do not believe "classic" and "supercar" are two words that belongs in a sentence starting or ending with "drivable"
