And two of them? The only one I've ever remember seeing was in Yeo's museum. Quite a fair bit of reviews on them lately.
eXACTLY... ones that pass by your office are all entry level high end... ones that pass by my office are ..... "nuff said" hahhahaha
How can you say that being our Big Bro here - HORRORS !!!! For me, my dreams only came true after marriage, so it's a matter of finding a partner who understands your obsessions and will not get in the way of it
Mike, when would you like to do a shoot of the 2 sister topless in their full glory? I'll be at your hotel on the 27th 3pm so can do evening shoot or 28th also ok, morning. Jon - like to be the photographer of this historical event? May not see the 2 together again for a long time.
U talking about bedroom or garage? If it's the latter, I think all of us here are sinful Btw, I just realised that a DB6 Mk1 in clean orig condition is within budget!
DB6! Now that is the quintessential gentleman's car. Super lovely and always reminds me of Sean Connory (although his was a DB5 I think). I reckon the DB6 is a slient creeper in terms of prices. DB5s have gone up so much and the 6 is a prettier car. My Dad's friend who had the Hallmark card franchise used to have one until he passed away and the wife sold it cheap cheap together with his Bentleys. That was about 15-20 years back and cars went sent out. I always had good memories of that car. Was the one that made me appreciate Astons. Another friend of his had the AM Vantage V8. More muscular but not quite as attractive as the DB5/6. Yet another one had the Lambo Jarama in brown. EC3 was the plate then. Don't know what happened to all these cars, just hope they didn't get sent away but likelyhood is high that they did.
It does help with the timing, if you are in the process of shaving the last tenths off. You can carry marginally more speed into 5 & 6, and 12 & 13, using LFB to shave off some speed for the tighter 6, or if you are starting to understeer into 12&13. But it's only for the final push for better timing. Other areas of using LFB would be, for example, you have braked for turn 15, and after the turn-in on the way to the apex, you are a little too greedy on the constant throttle, and the car veers wide, and are on the process of missing the apex. You dont want to lift off the accel to tap the brakes, so you use LFB to shave off a little speed, to hit the apex properly so that you will not sabo your exit speed going down the very long front straight. You get the idea... you can use it anywhere. In racing, if you're suddenly being cut-off mid corner, and lifting off means spinning out, you need to LFB to avoid langahs yet keep your car weight distribution proper to finish up the corner. For general smoother driving, you need to trail brake. Basically the whole sepang is about trail braking. Get that right and you can have a smooth lap at every corner. Again, this is my personal analysis, I'm not a racer but just another regular club trackkie.
I think there's another red topless one who lives near my house in Singapore, is there supposed to be one more 355 convertible?
Not that we know about but if there is, we'll like to know! Where abouts is that? Number plate? There are couple of targa tops running around as well but the tops just about never come off.
Dunno I'm not in Singapore anymore All I know is that he lives somewhere around the Greenwood area, likes to come home late at night and has an incredibly loud exhaust!
Wow, nice. U mean we had old Astons here before? I've only seen a DBS or something like that when Chow drove it to Ah-Long once & heard it belonged to an SQ pilot! That was some 3 yrs ago. My Swiss friend is a long time collector/investor of the V8s & seems he's making good money. Speaking of which almost all interesting marques are gaining value over the pass few years (by a lot), there's no more good buys unless you're on the personal level these days.
Yes, there was a DB owned by a pilot, don't know whether he still has it. Daniel, when you next see that 355 spider, get him to join us!
I've been trying to! Any suggestions on what I should say to him? Hi sir, would you like to join a certain online car forum because we think you have a sexy car
