Thanks Bro. My wife loves the food that from the time of the Thai restaurant. So photoshoot after AGM? Let me know your schedule. This Sat sees me re-spraying the front bumper just for her to look good next to her yellow sister.
Jon, in that case just go for a Countach. That car is truly the grand daddy of all bad ass supercars. A marvel to look at but probably a pain to drive. There was a gullwing replica some years back at AM. Looks neither here nor there. It was a turn off to see modern switchgear in a classic body, not to mention a modern engine. But I am all for modernising a classic to make it drivable as long as asthetics are not touched. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was told it would be 20% import tax + GST. And LTA must be statisfied that it cannot run. So if you bring the shell in, ok. But whole car + running gear may have some issues. Basically they want to keep taxation as water-tight as possible.
Tim, Jon, MP - Let me know if you guys want any info. Off to London in 2 weeks for lunch with a good car dealer friend and I can get him started on whatever you are looking at.
I see! In this case, its quite hard to import and display as what Jon mentioned earlier. Is there any way around this? How are some Enzo in Singapore kept at the owners home?
Like everything else, you can. Must place a bond (I think equal to duty payable) and the car must be available for LTA to inspect that it is there at the premises and not moved anyway. You are suppose to write for permission even to move it to some petrol station to get it washed.
Yeah the GTR really gave the sports car makers a good wake up call and a good run for their money. I think the F1 looks dated too.
You mean Mr. Goh had to write for permission to do this?!..What if its on a tow-truck? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
