I used to sell watches and I remember I had a few die hard Seiko clients that would never budge to another brand. They always came in and got me on the phone with our buyer trying to get the Japanese market exclusive through any means possible.

Im still young but I've chosen to mark milestones in my life with watches. When I graduated college I picked up a tag Monaco Gulf LTD. Next up is a promotion or engagement watch.

I would generally steer towards a higher end replica if it was a Daily watch or if I had the original and just didnt want to wear it daily and ruin it (which im considering doing with a Paneria).

I would disagree on there only being 7 different types of movement, but I guess the word "type" is debatable.

Since multiple companies in the past decade have started doing in house movements, and a few of those companies try to develop new movements each year to replace ones that are just a few years old, and with the number of available complications? Many more than 7.

However, you may be oversimplifying. I would tend to think that when one part is redesigned or moved, it is a new movement. If we are talking generalities, then maybe you are correct. But on that notion, then how many different types of engines are there? 6? Steam? Rotory? inline, flat, V and W formations? turbine? etc.

Saying a v6 from kia and a ferrari v12 are similar types of engines is about as misleading as saying there are only a few different types of movements.

Lastly, I made the original analogy to illustrate a point. The point should have been taken. if you want to buy a replica? Great. But don't buy one because the authentic version is a rip off, because that isn't the case in any market. Cars, clothing, or watches. It may not be of value to YOU, but the price is perfect for what it is.

You are so right about authentic watches guys, they don't hold their value compared to fakes, just aren't worth it and you guys are just to damn smart to pay those ridiculas prices to be authentic (sorry, I meant to wear authenic).

Problem is everyone I have ever met with a replica watch has done their utmost to pass it off as authentic, man that is just plain sad and personally I would hate to be in that embarrassing position, would rather be wearing my Seiko.

Buy what you want and enjoy it but not being honest about what you have and who you are is just plain screwed up in my mind.

A customer just brought this in. The watch leaks, and was full of moisture.

He said he didn't know it wasn't real

So I let him down nicely and snapped some pics of it.

It's supposed be a Graham Swordfish

The crystal leaks like my old 74 VW Super Beetle convertible in the rain...maybe even worse than that

That sucks, it looks like a cool watch. It also looks like the crystal is complicated pieces.

Anyone else have trouble with the ordering process? Nothing seems to work to get my card to go through and no one replies to phone calls or emails.

Haha, it's not you if you are ordering from Watcheden. It does that to everyone. You will get a reply from your emails, they are pretty good with getting back to you quickly.

Yeah Watcheden, I put in the request over a week ago, got the declined email that everyone talks about and that's it. No reason to decline my card, 0 balance on there. Didn't hear back from emails or phone calls.

BTW, wanted to try out this one:

What do you mean phone calls? There is no phone number for you to call and obviously they won't call you for several reasons. They won't decline your card, if it's rejected, it's because your card company is being safe so it's not fraudulent on your end. Just call them up (your CC company) and tell them that that site is what you're ordering from and it's really you and not someone that stole your card. Good luck.

Well I tried emailing the sales email from their contact page and it worked they got back to me, but there is a phone number in the email they send with the card rejection.

    Thanks for the advice.

It might be your CC company. They may be rejecting the company like they do online gambling transactions.

    Id say Watcheden. :D:D

I havent bought a Rolex from there yet, but I will soon enough. I will let ya's know of the quality when I receive it. :D:D

If the other replica watches they sell are anything to judge them by.......................then I reckon their replica Rolex would be very nice quality. ;);)

I bought a Rolex GMT from them and I was not impressed with the quality. It had nothing on the Breitling 6.75 I bought from them.

Cool man, thanks for sharing. :):)

I may not bother with one from them then. :(:(

The RM and PAM I bought from them are REALLY REALLY nice. :D:D

Looks they need to pick their Rolex rep's game up a bit. :D:D
