1. I didn't know you are allowed to bring a project car in. Always thought rules were only pristine cars. 2. Tax - So I cannot buy a "bargain" car to save tax? That's probably the biggest hurdle when bringing these cars. That said, there is a UK reg Dino at AM's workshop. Great that these cars are coming back to our shores. All the more I'll do a BB when the time is right!
Yep. Ken, thought you asked me about classic cars before? Bear in mind that they may not drive well. We're looking into this & a money guy told me that pounds may rebound against Euro, anything above 2.5 & we'll suck thumb again Didn't notice that but that silver car looked like a proton waja to me Never looked into them. A Cuda did fetch USD1.2million but Iove Corvettes & Deusenbergs. Most likely not back by then. I'm going to pick up my 456 this week & please pray for me that it's a great daily driver! I would buy the car, leave it there for a few months & get the seller to stock up some parts/Borannis etc then shipped back. There's also a check list on before shipping from an '04 magazine. Basically, the body, engine, trans must be there & perhaps a driver's seat. Everything else can be fitted locally while you can send the hardware to foreign specialists to rebuild. For the BB, buy it now & store it in Malaysia. When it's 35, send it over.
If there's a nice SLR kit for the SL, I would be tempted! I've never heard one, Lung does it sound good?
