Seller is a friend of Foreign Cars Italia, a customer, and a passionate owner. Owned by a multi Ferrari owner, who would never let his Ferrari sit and garage rot, no, he drives them.

 

It was in the parking lot at Cavallino in 2008 on Florida plates. Then, in April, 2008, it was for sale on eBay in Naples, Florida, with 19,500 miles. Then it was for sale in December, 2009, through FCI with 26,447 miles. That's all I know.

 

That is way more info than I have seen on most Maranellos. What other info were you seeking? I am amazed at what Dean and Crbon gave you. Not sure I know that much about my car.

I looked at this car and wanted to drive it to compare with the blue '97 550M at Sport Auto. This red car at F.C.I. was very grubby on the inside and under the hood--I have a 1996 Maxima with 156K miles and a SPOTLESS interior! Why don't some F-car owners keep there cars clean and original!? For you others in the market, this red car sold on March 12 for $73K, so there is the current market on 550's! The blue car at Sport Auto in Greensboro has something wrong with the clutch/gearbox--it doesn't shift well at all and the clutch is very "grabby"! And it's been sitting there for over 6 months now--it also was fairly grubby all over and would need alot of TLC to get trophies! Who here bought the red car from F.C.I.? Has it turned out to be a nice driver? I will be buying a 550 in the next 12-18 months, but I haven't found the right one.

 

Shaver- Welcome to the Maranello club and congratulations. We will, of course, require photos, and Carbon will love you forever for the Assembly No. and Engine No. But he says that to all the new owners.

Small world. I used to own that 550. My share of the history......

After waiting 3 yrs for my new 360 Spider order to come in I found I really did not like the 360 that much. So after 6 months of ownership I traded my 360 plus some "boot" for that 550 and my current 330 GTC. FCI sold me your car in with 3758 miles on the clock.

I really liked that 550 alot. Later on I bought another Maranello - this time a 575. The 550 went to my son here in Naples. He drove the car frequently and put a lot of miles on it. He sold it after I made him a "deal he could not refuse" on the 575. I then acquired my current version, an 05 SuperAmerica. Needless to say I like Maranellos.

guy that owned it was out of virginia. i had called on a gt3 he was selling (as he had just bought the 550)
