Can anyone recommend someone for upholstery work in the GTA. I have to get the dash re-upholstered in the TR. I have the dash removed so I can bring it in to a shop.
    Thanks for your help.

No not him the other guy that used to be in the commercial's year's ago, I mean like 10-12 year's ago, about 6'8" and 300 pound's....sorry maybe someone else will chime in with the name, it's right on the tip of my tounge too.

I do know Mr.Weston bought a 911 turbo cab off another client of mine year's ago for PEANUT'S at the time....

Weston Jr. (the current CEO) drives a Volkswagen Phaeton 4.2 and also has a Toyota Sienna Limited AWD.

As far as I know, he doesn't have a Turbo Cab...

did you read my post? I said 10-12 year's ago. The turbo cab was when it was new and I said 911, when was the last real 911? 20+ year's ago? My client said when "galen was a kid", apparentley friend's with his mother. My client's 78 as well.

    Hey Rocco,

Can you post up how much they are charging for your dash? I'm debating whether to get mine redone before it gets too nice. Thanks

I went to see Gary this morning. Great guy and nice shop set-up. He showed me some photo albums and this guy has done many Ferrari interiors.
I left the parts with him so he can price it out for me. I'd imagine that every car would be different pricing depending on the amount of work it needed.
He did a fellow F-Chatters seats a few weeks ago as well and he said the work was great.

As requested by a few F-Chatters, I'm posting the cost to redo my dash as quoted by Gary Nolan from Diamond Trim today. BTW, I did check with Gary first that it was okay with him to post the cost.
To redo the flat dash piece with new backer board and redo the instrument cluster piece (this has pretty detailed stitching) including material and labour is $1000.
To be honest I thought the price was a little high (I was expecting around $600), but that said, I don't think anyone would do a better job based on the experiences people have been sharing about Gary.
Any feedback, negative or positive would be appreciated.

I agree that Gary might not be the cheapest but I think his wirk is top notch. I had some pieces done in the 355 years ago, one being the passenger side airbag cover, and the work was perfect. Stitching laser straight and the grain of the leather the same. Ypu wont be disappointed.

Edward... Hope to see you out more this year!

Anyways, I should go get a quote from him as well ... I want some interior pieces stitched and seems like hes the guy to do it, unless anyone has any other suggestions

My R8V10 has the crappy non-full leather interior. I'm having Gary do it Fezza quality alcantara with red stitching. He ain't cheap, but he does great work.

As stated, you gotta pay to get a good job. It's like anything else. I've seen some upholstery that makes you wanna kringe. BUT, you get what you pay for.

Mario, good luck and let us know how it worked out.

    Cheers,

Rocco, maybe you can a couple of pictures once you get the pieces back. I'm sure that we are all interested, as I would like to do my centre console as well this Summer. Let us know how it is progressing.

Rocco, what exactly are you doing for $1,000 ? Are you doing the front sides where the small speakers are ? The glove box and radio casing and steering wheel cover for $1,000 or is it just the top dash for a $1,000 ?

    Hey Red,
It's the flat top piece of the dash (including the backing) and the instrument cluster surround.
I asked Gary to take some before and after shots and I will post them as soon as it's done.

I would like to get my seats redone (crema colour) but don't know where to go. It would be helpful to have a recommendation from someone that's had them redone and also see some before and after shoots. Keep us posted Rocco.
