Is this for real?

yup that CS has been discussed on here many times. It used to have a buy it now of 109k

for 99k it might make a good daily driver / track car

I can't work out if that awful thing on the hood is painted on or a film of some sort. I have a feeling it's the former. Eeuugh. Great price though

 

If it's a "great price" why has it been languishing on the market for months? The fact is the price is too high for this car.

 

that is a great price... Unless there is some story with the car. I can't see why the paint would cause a $40-50K depreciation.

 

I believe some have danced around the statement that it IS in fact a story car.
Have not heard anything more specific than "driven hard, put away wet" though.

Anybody with "actual knowledge" want to step up to the plate and tell what they know about this car? If you speak of simple facts, not sure why some are afraid to spill it.

 

I recall this car having some crash history ?

 

Car seems to have been bounced around from dealer to dealer. Previous story was a lot of track miles. Good deal if you are going to track/drive it heavily.

 

It was born as a red CS.

The paint scheme is absolutely horrendous.

It's bad enough they lowered the car's value moving away from 'resale red' (albeit only slightly since its now black), but then a giant flag is added...... game over.

 

The car is very nice the flag in this car not...

 

Craig (Comprador) considered buying this car but then decided against it when the SD2 readout came back showing 75% clutch wear. Just last week, Craig posted here that you could PM him for the full history on this car. I suppose if anyone knows whether it's been wrecked, he would know. It'd be great if Greg chimed in on this thread so that we could all know once and for all.

yes, it has some accident history and thus was repainted black.. I drove it in the fall and did a thorough inspection. It was listed at $125K.. it is a lease return w/38K mi.. Check out my questions on the Fchat classifieds.. car story now gets stranger and stranger.. a "Robber" took the service records.. huh?

My intent was to track it only. A repaint was 8-10K.. Needed a full service and new clutch.. It has a CRAZY straight pipe set up as well.. I passed on it for the track if that tells you anything.

 

would love to get a copy of the ppi of you still have it.

 

LOL... the fact that SCC is a sponsor here is embarrassing. Ask Roy Cats about a certain "pristine" Yellow Diablo 6.0... or search out Enzo #130727, particularly a thread titled "Three Enzos On Ebay!". At least they were smart enough to not advertise that one here...
