This Scud has been around for quite awhile..I think one of the brudders was interested but complained that the dealer was unethical or smth like that..
Bros, always keep some spare fuses in your car. In fact, some extra tools just in case esp when in Malaysia where help can be few hours away. Audi, that's a high rated 30amp fuse! Hope it's just a shorted piece but do get the system checked through as they usually don't blow. Maybe some earthing or water? Looks good! Is this the first trackday since? It must have been a long time, you guys must have had a great time. Don't Mp. You guys should join. There's a trackday in May & another 2D1N event in Malacca next month where there'll be an instructor to tech us on handling our 911. Heard he's rated as the #2 in the world for drifting. We'll be doing time attack, golf, F & B, party etc. wife & kids are welcomed too. In Nov-Dec, they're going to Thailand & one guy is checking out the route to Angkor Wat! They'll truck the cars from KL to Bangkok, fly there & drive north. They're rather fast drivers, my rev is always kept between 5-6.5k & I was worried for my old gal
Guys, The trip organized by ItalAuto went very well. I would like to thank Lung and gang together with Italauto staff for all their painstaking effort to ensure safety of each and every car out there. I think the best was the police escort and the drive to Bukit Tinggi. I cant help but to laugh inside thinking how we were escorted by the police. It was definitely a scene to behold. I wonder if we can do it here if we ever have a local drive. PAP FTW! Ha Ha Ha...
To be very honest, I never believe in Used Imported cars. It may look very tempting from the outside but you would not know if the car has any problems untill you drive it. I have a friend who bought a used import M5 and after a month, the engine blew. Very scary especially when there is a catastrophic engine failure. And on a car like a Ferrari, it is unthinkable on how it is going to be covered if there is no proper warranty or support for these import used cars. Just my 2cents.
Jon, all is well with the old gal. Use the morning to crawl into the pax footwell under the dash and changed all the fuses. Dad reckoned they were all old and oxidised and since the panel was out, might as well do them all. Test drive at lunch time confirms all is good as I brough her out in some slow traffic. Always reassuring to hear the fans in action. So what was a $0.50 issue could have resulted in blown gaskets and another engine out job. Lesson learnt!
bye chaps ... catch up with y'all in a week or so ... leaving this lil rock this evening ... goa ... here i come .........
I sent a letter to the hotel complimenting them on their service. I did however highlight your dissappointment on the muffin. I will be surprized if this "problem" is not rectified in our next trip.
yup service was good..very glad my car was still there in the morning.. uploading photos on facebook will tag accordingly
That Bukit Tinggi drive was great wasn't it? Stay tuned! We working with FOCM on the hill climb challenge in June.
I have the opposite experience. Brought in a used Porsche last year... no problems. Working on another deal now as I type.
Very wise. I told you it would either be a very simple job or a killer job. Thank goodness it is simple.
