    Hi guys,

Does anyone have the Ferrari part number for the center AC vent on
the dash of a 1986 328 GTS? I looked at Ricambi but cannot find a part
    number.

    I'm still looking for one...

    Thanks for any tips,

    Jedi

I think I remember this item being an issue about a year ago. Good luck but it may be a difficult find.

Have you tried T Rutlands? I am sure they may have a spare used one somewhere on a shelf.

Yeah, it's really tough to find. Tried TR last year - they thought they had one waiting
to go to the UK to be molded to make reproductions but never heard back.

It would be helpful to have the actual part number... that was part of the confusion.
Apparently there were a couple slight variations in how the little blue arrow on top
appeared or some such - they guy I talked to at TR seemed a little confused by the
    question.

Well, I called Steve and after the laughter died down :)D) I've decided I'm going to
try to suck the broken flap and the later cardboard replacement with a skinny
vacuum cleaner hose on a tank vac. Steve looked up the diagram and it appears
the center AC hose goes straight down into the AC manifold box - I might have a
chance of getting a good "suck grip" since it's light and flat.

But it's looking like finding any sort of replacement is going to be just out of the
    question.

Part number is 61738800 - just archiving it in the thread should anyone else want it
or if I need it again and can't find my notes.

Yes - great guy. He pulled the drawings and located it for me - he agrees my
"suck it out" idea has merit for being the easiest approach. From the drawings,
it looks like a bear to get to the bottom of that hose, and get it to go back on
    again.

    Hey Jedi

If I remember correctly you posted before looking for one of these!

If my memory serves me right Daniel at Ricambi found one and asked if you still wanted it and didn't get a reply so he was going to send it off to Verell to see if he could reproduce it?

    Check your previous post?

    Cheers

    Pete

It was apocryphal - nothing EVER came of it. The "real deal" never turned up. If
Daniel knows different, please send me a PM.

The reality is that according to TR and Ricambi, there is VERY LITTLE demand for
that vent. They typically don't break (NOTHING on my car has been typical :) ).

But there is absolutely none available, and rumors of a reproduction being available
are just that - rumors. It's been a year and not heard a peep from any of the
    suppliers, sorry to say.

This weekend I will try my "suck it out and then hot glue it together" plan :D
