Caught pieces of this on Speed this morning. I didn't find the whole episode in one link, but I think b/w the two below it is most it: step 1) hulu link: http://www.hulu.com/watch/132595/engine-block-hot-wheels step 2) official link: http://www.staceydavid.com/showdetails.php?episode=41
Does anyone know of a sight of way to know on what date a certain car will be released? I am looking for the the 2010 First Editions Nissan 370Z & the 458 Italia (of course). If I know that these will not be out until, say October, then I won't keep checking all the time.
Went to TRU today and found these. The had a 612 and a TR in the 1:43 scale and a 575 gtc and a califorina in the pullbax. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
If anyone is still looking for a v-day Daytona this Walmart still has about 10 on the racks. 1800 Loucks Road, York, PA
Went to the local car swap meet and picked up an F50 and Enzo in 1:64 as well as finding another T-hunt at Fred Meyer's this morning (second this week!)
Bought a half dozen of the Vday silver Daytonas. PM me with your trade proposals. I only collect 1:64 Ferraris. I havee most recent releases but Ild be interested in older or variances in wheels. I take all my keepers off the card so card condition means zero to me. Let me know what ya got! 308 geo and Will, if you dont already have one of these, i'll earmark for you cause i know yall have hooked me up on new releases in the past
Thanks Dave, but Will graciously got me one. Thanks again Will! Dino GTS is coming from eBay, but I'm still on the hunt for the 458 Italia whenever they release it...
Man.....!! That's like heaven to me. Imagine going to a store and all merchandise on the floor and shelves is all about Hotwheels. Well, let's go to the 1:18 die cast isle. Next let's go to the 1:43 scale die cast isle. Ok next let's check out the 1:18 Elites isle. HOTWHEELS MATTEL TOY STORE. IS THERE SUCH STORE IN THE U.S?
Man, this is like the first time I ever heard of Hooters... I mean someone explains such a thing to you and you go "it sounds so plausible, but can it possibly be real?"
For those of you having a heart attack for the Mattel Toy Store, Here is the link for all the locations - http://www.matteltoystore.com/locations.aspx
So what does the Hot Wheel/Matchbox area of the store look like... do they stock everything currently out?
I don't think so, it's an 'outlet' for overstock clearances.. Will got the Ferrari Gala Barbie for Amanda marked down from $300 retail to like, $75. So what is on the shelf is 'hit or miss'.....
I mostly go up there for the 1/18th but they've been cutting back on putting newer models out on the sales floor. Notice the current shelf space, years ago they had a much bigger selection four times the length. Every store is different, some lean more to Hot Wheels inventory then other locations but it's whatever the corporate office tells them to put out on the floor. As for the 1/64th, it'***** or miss but they sometimes do put out new items. Here's a few shots from last weeks visit & what I found there. That Hotwheels/Matchbox store is awesome...! Over here in Hawaii you will never ever see a single 1:18 scale die cast car on the shelf for sale whether you got to Toys R Us, Wal-Mart stopped carrying 1:18's years ago. K-Mart got none. Target got those 1:18 JADA GT-R's that's been there for like months nobody buying em. And then we have this toy place called Toys N Joys. They carry 1:18's but the 1:18's they carry are the Enzo Hotwheels with the yellow roof on top they got 10 of those. They have loads of the F430 Challenge I think they have 10 of em or so. They just collect dust on the shelf. So you guys on the mainland consider yourself lucky if you are a serious collector of these cars. There are plenty of toy stores up there in your area. Us Hawaiians we just rely on ebay.
It is pricey because at that store Toys N Joys the regular 1:18 Hotwheels Enzo with the yellow roof on top is $99.00 each. I won't even buy that for $10.00! Now for the 1:18 JADA GT-R at Target are $35.00 each plus tax so almost $40.00 with tax.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never use exoticar.com. EVER! I won't go into details, but most everyone else here will agree with me.
