Holy crap, all the fuses?! Is this 355 or 308? U're worrying me cosI just picked up my 456GT this afternoon & sent her for tinting.

Then all the usual problems due to under-use. Seat belt jammed, glove cover cannot close, driver's door can't open from inside (snapped cable), fuel cover can't close after opening.... spent a few hours to WD40 all joints etc & all fixed by now. It feels quite strange, very vintage feel & sound, meters are green colored, definitely not a 355 league. Steering is light weighted but visibility is surprisingly good & better than my 997.

While going through the books, Ben Low signed for it back in July 1995! Ex-owner was a Tengku & now a Raja.

My dealer has a beautiful Silverstone F430 for under 1mill Ringgit, 08 car, ex-UK with CCB. Nice color!

Also tried his used Arancio Borealis Superleggera, asking for 1.2mill.

Tough man. Except JT cars & they're known to sell cars for a premium.

There's a dinner for newbies on 26th Mar by the Porsche Club, if you're around we'll poke those guys there. Very good for net working, quarter of Datuks around easily.

Brothers, what do u guys think of the 575? Yes, the silver one.

Been offered a tidy sum for it but I sold a two seater because I don't have time for it so buying another would be a garage queen again though @ a much lower price than the Lambo.

I like the subtle Pininfarina lines, long nose & color's fine except the boring black cabin which can always retrimmed. Don't know how the F1 tranny is like but if it's manual, I would've bought it.

U guys think it's a good keeper? I just collected my 456 which is very very similar in layout & engine, cabin etc.

If I buy this, I won't be looking @ a classic car for the moment & for all the hassle + similar money, this is something that I can use anyday. Value for the car has dropped a lot & stabilized but looks set to go down some more.

Would u have an S1 E-type roadster, 50-60's Maserati Sebring, Ghibli, Facel Vega HK500, 30's Bentley 4.5L tourer or this?

Was flipping through a special Ferrari only magazine by Octane which listed all the cars & I realised that I've lost interest in new cars. There will always be a newer, better, more expensive car but the charisma & charm of classics are undeniably seductive, rarer & better value in long term.

    What's your say?

Ken, u've had two 575s. How's the F1 shift & living with one?

I only changed them since the floor board was already out. Most, if not all, had oxidised contacts. Fuses are cheap but my time to take out floor board is limited. As for lack of usage, that's why I also make it a point to exercise the top and lubricate the joints/pump seals. You know how notorious the 355 top is but it has been good to me so far.

456, beautiful car. The loveliest 4 seater ever built! BTW - my dials are also green so who you calling vintage?? You have not seen the 308's dials at night yet, literally!

I think the 575 is a lot of car for not that much $$$. Very gentlemanly car as compared to the V8s which can be a little loud in apperance. Somewhat like an Aston, classy is the word for it. Helps that it is rare now. We had a 575 on track and several of us were just gawking at the car, you just hardly ever see them. If you get a good deal and decide to COE the car, you ain't gonna lose much as well. Is belt change an engine out job? Heard good things about the reliablity.

U are such a bad influence!

Let me bring u to my neighbour's indo satay. Simply delicious & better than many famous ones.

Huh? Didn't know that the fuse box is in the floor board, is it under the passenger footwell? Did u spray some Wd40 or contact cleaner into the fuse box? Helps a lot.

Hello, both yr 355 & mine about same age lah. OK, I'm off to a good drive & car wash now :)

    Good night!

Well, car's still under HSM extended warranty & well serviced. I think the engine stays put for belt job & I'll be doing my 456 very soon.

About the value, the paper's still a lot & well over $200K but what u said about Aston struck me. I wouldn't mind a DB9 but this 575 will be a good fight for it over value, performance & brand. I think there's probably no more than ten ever sold here? So population is definitely lesser than Testarossa which I like a lot. Not sure what it's value will be like in 5yrs....

Was the 575 in Sepang a KL or Sg car?

Got 2 fuse boxes, one next to the front trunk and the engine related relays/ECUs/fuses are in the pax footwell. Should be changing fuses with someone wearing a mini skirt seated there!

575 in Sepang was a SG car, very well cared for in Rosso/Tan with F1. Has the Fiorano kit fitted. Value after 10 years will be very subjective since so few around. But still better value than many new cars of that price range.

Oh yes, forgot about that. It was the F1 tranny that gave up for whatever reason. It is the engine that is reliable and if mated to a manual, almost bullet proof by normal F car standards.

jon, imho, the 575 is definitely a better drive than the db9 BUT do you want to deal with 20 year old electronics issues given that this is the first f car (i think) that went heavily dependent on the technology then.

Jon, I like the 575 for day to day driving! Easy to park, good ground clearance, not too noisy. But it will be too soft to go for a run with the v8's and V10's even with the full HGTC pack...... But if you like the 456, you may enjoy the 575! The large V12 is sublime...

    Yes... Italian electronic technology.
But in life, everything has a price. If its cheap enough then buy it. :)

Clearly a fan of the Rafa Benitez school of management - if it is cheap enough then buy it! Thank goodness we beat Portsmouth and Aquilani scored! We are coming for your boys this Sunday Mike...

Any chance of a AMG drive soon?

Dear Bro Lung, have you driven the 575 back to back with the 599?
