    Hello All,

On behalf of a friend, whom used to own the very last serial number 328 made... he would like to track his old car down and see if he can locate it.

Of course this all depends upon the current owners involvement with Ferrari clubs, registries, etc. and if he/she has made the info available.

Does the Ferrari Club of America keep serial number info? Is there a 328 registry/website somewhere that compiles serial numbers?

Thanks in advance to the 328 community.

    John

I thought the GM of Shelton Ferrari owned/still owns the very last 328GTS made, white/tobacco?

CARFAX the vin. It will tell what city the car is registered in. From there, a few calls to local mechanics or to the regional section of this board with a post can probably find it.

I've never heard of the FCA keeping serial number info but I do recall some talk about making a section of the FCA website available to set up an owner's profile of sorts. Ferrari.com was keeping serial number information but you had to enter it yourself. How long ago did your friend own this particular car?

It is a 1989 328 GTS, serial number 82231. Red/tan with red powder coated valve covers and polished out wheels.

Anyone know of it? I'll try CarFax, too. Thanks for the info.

    Thanks, so much, John

The last US 328 sold was 82961. It is in a private collection on the East Coast. The last 328 by my records is 83136 built in late August or early September 89. 82231 was built in late June or early July of the same year and is a Europen model. I have almost 4800 328 VINs wich accounts for somewhat less than 3/4 of the cars and I have 136 328 VINs later than 82231.

WOW, you guys! Pretty incredible. Thanks!

Really appreciate it! This fellow is a member down our way... and I really don't know about the 328 world. He says its the last one built... but that's just what he says. Apparently not!

Many thanks! Pretty incredible to zero in on it this quick!
