I took delivery of my 09 F430 Spyder in July of 2009. Because I live in Ohio, I put the car in storage in late October. The car currently is still in storage and has about 750 miles on it. Normally I service cars that I store every spring, no matter how many miles I put on them. I plan on getting the car out of storage in mid April, should I have it serviced or wait until next spring. I will probably put another 1500 miles on it this year. So, next spring come service time, it would have about 2200 miles. I also have to consider that the closest F dealer is 140 miles away and I would have to have it transported to and from. Just wanted if anybody had any suggestions?
    Thank you.

I am in NW Ohio, near Toledo and have recently purchased an 05 360 Spyder with 5k mi. Do you know of any shops near me? Cauley Ferrari in Detroit is about 85 miles away but I am not aware of any nearby independents. Thanks.

drive the pi$$ out of it for now - next time though, service it BEFORE storage.

Why let those acids in the oil work on the engine all winter?
Why expect those depleated inhibitors in the glycol to sit stagnant all winter and -still- protect those aluminum engine parts?

for now, don't sweat it - but do it before you put it up next fall!

    Rgds,
    Vincenzo

I would wait until July or August to have it done. No point in doing it early.

I live in Stow right now. I was reluctant to go somewhere other than a F dealer especially while it is still under warranty. I typically just have the fluids changed.

Vincenzo, I like your advise. I think I will drive it soon and prep it before winter. Thank you!

    Hi Jim,

Just curious as I'm from the UK, why do you put it in storage because your in Ohio?

And come on drive the thing :) 1500 miles in a year, I've had my 430 5 months and I've put 4000 miles on it and loved every one.

    John.
