I haven't posted anything recently, so here's a couple recent additions:

    Green one is 1967 Shelby GT350 - Serial # 002.

White one is 1966 Shelby GT350 - Serial # 002. (the first production '66 Shelby)

The '66 was acquired last week at B-J, courtesy of Roy. Thank you again for your help with this Roy. I appreciate it.

CONGRATS - Great Shelbys, nice combo to have serial #2 of both 66 & 67, that is quite a feat. I watched the auction live and saw Roy do a fist pump or two when the hammer fell. Enjoy!

Indeed they are very nice cars, probably the most underrated cars from the muscle car era. Most important thing about these cars finding a true survivor, one that hasn't brought back from dead.
I've seen a quiet a few that's been overly restored, I would be very careful especially buying one that had a engine rebuilt, it's easy to spot the (matching block, heads etc.) but SD motors have very specific internals, forged aluminum pistons, sd only rods and cam even the distributor which are almost impossible to find.
The first dead giveaway is the piston slap when cold, none of the HO, RA cars sound like that, nor the so called rebuilt engines.
    Good luck on your search

Great cars and underated to be sure! Owned a few over the years. I traded a '67 Shelby Gt350(with the inboard lights) for a '74 SD455, Admiralty blue and 4 speed. I installed a cage, headers, opened up the hood scoop, threw on some Konis and poly bushings. I used to take it to Ferrari track days at Riverside Raceway. Routinely blew off most of the Ferraris with it and also discovered the lack of oiling under cornering loads on turn Nine. Spun a bearing, had Aviad build me a baffled pan and hit the track again. I also entered it in the La Carrera Classic in Mexico. Was running a strong second place overall when a rocker arm let go. Spent the next few hours sitting in the Mexican countryside watching the rest of the competitors go by. The car was fixed and entered in the Silver State Classic. Unfortunately, that was the year the Ferrari TR crashed(killing the passenger). It really placed a damper on the event and although my TA was geared to run 170, our hearts weren't in it and we didn't go much over 130 when it was our turn to run.
I ended up selling the car to a neighbor kid. Not long after, he sold it to a guy in New York who was planning to restore it to stock.
I still have photos in one of the albums of that car leading a gaggle of F-cars down the straight at R.I.R. !

No worries about car jacking in Detroit. Lol Five speed non-sync, lots of fun. Got to give our Vets lots of credit. Gas milage isn't the best..... But at least it hold a lot.$$$$

    Ok,

My 348 F-car was a life goal. Something like a self given prize....

Nevertheless, my dream car has allways been this one... a 1970 454ci/390hp Blue Stingray, with matching #'s and Manual Transmission....

    And finally I got it!

It was rebuilt by a specialized company in the USA, then maintained by a Belgium Private collector on a controled enviroment garage for several years, and then to my stable.

    My childhood dream come true...

    Regards,
    R
