    Man, this 456 is really beautiful. Looks like it just came out from the showroom! I know the temptation to keep that sticker, maybe just keep it a while longer and see how it goes. Too bad this car is up north from where we are. How is the interior plastics?

    Yes, I heard that too. Must have been some truth to the rumour, maybe a Urraco not a Miura.

    Haha.. That training started with the 308 so by the time the 355 arrived, they knew what to do. Keep telling them that these cars are special (which they truly are). Kids also know that the centre console + gear stick are only for the driver to operate so they are very well behaved in the car.

    Few years ago someone in this thread said that the Miura was used to test the then Kallang airport runway but me thinks it could possibly the only "road" to test this "beast" :D

    It was owned by a celebrity "Sonny" guy but car was exported. Audi, your dad used to service it & he told me the clutch was damn heavy. Not an easy car to drive.

    I saw a Urraco parked opp the now China embassy but it's long gone by now.

    It is quite beautiful, doesn't grab your attention but takes time to like it. I'll find some time & place to take proper pics of it.

    I hope to send it back later for some short trips but the car excels on highways. The traffic jams here can get me worried as the water temp climbs near 100 & not far from red!

    The plastics are all good & doesn't have the notorious matt coating but the aircon facade is bubbling a little & not a concern now.

    Oh yes, I was thinking your 308 should be tan and yes the 355! Elmer did the magnolia cabin with red carpet!

    Wow, that's one lovely 456. Is this in Singapore? I haven't seen one on the roads - actually, I haven't seen one at all. This looks so much better than the 612. Is this the one with the holes in the bonnet for the headlights?

    honestly Jon it is gorgeous. Mrs K was walking by when I was looking at the pics & her immediate comment was "oh I like that". I said it when you bought it, but I've always loved the 456. If there was any here I'd be tempted to but it to send back to Oz as a keeper. I'd love to see it in the flesh!

    Audi, never let me near your 355, and never look too closely at the buggy. One of the endearing features of the matte wrap was that it was so easy to clean, and I don't need to polish anymore. It doesn't mean that it isn't loved though .. the first hint of anything mechanical & it's straight to the vet.

    My choices would be:

    Merc = The definitive 300SL Gullwing

    BMW = E46 M3, the best-looking M3 to date

    Ferrari = 250GT, 288GTO and 308GTB

    Lamborghini = None other than the legendary Miura SV

    Porsche = 911 Classic & 964

    Jaguar = XJS

    SUVs = The boxy LR Defender

    Classic: Old-school Mini or Austin :)

    I think it surely would outperform the Tip by miles..but u're right, the savings more than make up for it :)

    Yes, Hill Engineering in UK has the decals for the 90s era cars.

    Derek, I don't think my seat rails can support the "extra weight" :). As for polishing, yes tell me all about it. I DIY the car as I cannot stand seeing the car washed immediately after driving in with a hot engine + the spray gun means water seepage into the corners of the roof, big no no to me.

    Now I only wash her once a month and those 3-4 hrs spent washing and polishing gives new meaning to "quiet time" with the Italian mistress.

    Derek - start shopping in UK. I think you can have a good 456 for around 45k pounds. Esp when the A$ is so heavily in your favour now but your call, could be even better 6 months down the line looking at the UK government debt.

    We had the Marcos from 91 till about 96/97. SQ76xx plate, can't remember the last 2 digits. Red with cream interior. Do you know where your friend's Marcos is now?

    Audi, you do know that mine is probably the only horse that is parked outside every single night (when it isn't at Ital or T3) and exposed to all the elements .. & each morning after I start it I grab a wet towel and wipe off all the bird **** and pick off all the leaves and sticks that have fallen off the trees standing overhead.

    I bet you"ll have nightmares tonight! :D
