Today was another absolutely stellar day at the new Supercar Sunday location. Lamborghini was the featured marque, and there were many in attendance including one of just three Reventon's in the USA and a pair of Muiras - one a fully restored knock-out.

Additionally, a car I have always wanted to see and have known was in the area for 6-7 years rolled into the show mid-morning - a Pagani Zonda C12S! The color might not be to everyone's liking, but the car was stunning. For such a small company, the attention to detail and finish were quite spectacular. I was definitely impressed with it! Had a nice chat with the owner who's quite a car enthusiast and has even more at home in the 'garage' to share on future Sundays.

It seemed like everywhere you turned there was something very special today. The most amazing car on the lot was a Ferrari though - 1960 250 GT SWB #2033. It was just 'parked amongst the peasants' as one older man was heard to say.

Big thanks to Dustin for all the effort at making this show such a success. I look forward to it each and every week, but these 'last Sunday of the month' shows have been just out of this world!

ER, Thanks for sharing the pics. It was a spectacular day and turnout. I haven't been able to make it to SCS in quite sometime. It was certainly a great day to make my return. The Reventon and Zonda S takes the cake for me. Thank you Dustin and your tireless crew for continuing to put on this great event!

I have wondered openly about the status of this particular car for a very long time and never gotten a real answer. It has been in the USA since the middle of 2001 and has been seen on the roads around Malibu several times. No Pagani has ever been certified for importation through the DOT's "Show or Display" process, which is the way you would expect someone to do it. There are other ways to bring a car like this in, but few would allow you to keep it as long as he has without some headaches.

I spoke with the owner Sunday and he was happy to satisfy my curiousity on the 'How did you import it?' question. While the car has not been Federalized in any way, it is here legally and he's able to drive it without issue.

His primary business is in the electronics field and he has a separate company working on electric vehicle technologies. With that company he was able to establish it as a vehicle manufacturer getting all the proper credentials and such. Using that status, he's able to import any vehicle for testing purposes just the way all the major manufacturers do it. He wouldn't be able to sell the car, and I am sure there are some limitations, but it seems to have worked just fine for him for many years. :)

This isn't his only Pagani - he also owns the 1-of-1 Zonda Monza race car (pictured below) which a few people are hoping he will bring out to SCS sometime in the future. There's also talk on another forum that he might have a new Zonda Cinque on the way.
