So my g/b pan is leaking drops of oil i have had this problem since i rebuilt the donk 1 yr ago. I have replaced the gasket twice already. I plan to replace the gasket next couple of weeks, if it leaks this time i will learn to live with it. I know these car are 25+ yrs old but what works or has worked for you.
    Cheers

Do you know where the leak is coming from. Is it around the studs or around the whole gasket. Also I assume there are no cracks in the pan. If you are going to remove the pan again then I would check it for flatness to make sure it is not distorted. Worse case would be to double gasket it. Please let us know what you find.

Hard to tell if it's the gasket or the bolts, i don't think the bolts go through into the g/b casing do they.

Yes I believe some of them do. When you look at the studs do you see a film of oil on the threads. That is usually the sign that they are weaping oil through the nuts. I replaced all of my nuts with SS nylok stop nuts. It fixed the weaping issue. You can also get washer with a rubber seal that does the same thing but the stop nuts also don't vibrate loose. May want to try that first. Good luck

I use a very thin bead of loctite gasket seal (blue) on the bottom pan and on top of the gasket. Circling each of the studs.

This has eliminated all the leaks from my pan completely. It does make removing the pan/ gasket slightly more messy, but I think it is worth it.

very common....nylocs won't keep it from leaking over time. Light film of Dow corning 730 on the gasket(s-both g/b & eng) as well as on the threads of the 6mm studs, it will never leak again.

Wow, that stuff is spendy, $75+ for a tube.
Anything cheaper that can be recommended?

The Dow 730 is great stuff but I've also had very good results with the Ford Silicone they use for sealing the mating surface on the diesel oil pans. Any Ford dealer will have it in small caulking tubes for about $24. CLEAN all your surfaces, light smear on both sides of the gasket.

If you have already re-gasketed twice with no luck it may be the leak is elsewhere - I had exactly the same experience, but found that actually, oil was leaking from the crankshaft oil seal behind the torsional vibration damper and dripping down the the lowest point, ie the heads of the gearbox cover studs. Replacing the oil seal fixed that, but is no small task.
