I'm starting to get into sterile homage pieces, spend a lot of time on repgeek.

It's amazing what time people put into some of these pieces. Granted, many are Canal St. specials, but there are some dealers and individuals that take these fakes and craft them into seriously appealing pieces. Passing off a replica as authentic is very poor behavior, hence my interest in the homage pieces, etc.

See below for some shots of watches I've run across in my browsing. All are homages or replica pieces.

Why does the shot of the watch with the display back say "Panerai" around the outside and "Rolex" engraved in the movement?

    I don't think it's the same watch, Gio. :)

    All the best,

Rolex manufactured the first versions of that watch for Panerai. Cool watches. The seals were cork. They didn't have glass backs or Cortebert movements. I think they were made for the Italian Navy divers, or sub guys. Panerai used to make instruments for the navy.

There are guys on the replica / homage forums who are taking old Russian movements, filling the maker's name engraving with solder, filing, polishing, re-engraving with "Rolex" and plating to match the rest of the (aged) movement! These guys are crazy - spending several hours on a tiny part.

Nicole just gave me a replica Tag Carerra watch today for my 30th b'day. :D:D

It is VERY nice, but sadly not the one I wanted. :(:(

I wanted the more expensive one, because its just *that* much nicer than the cheap one she bought me. :):)

She said she bought that one, because I showed it to her one day and told her I liked it. But I showed her the good one, she remembered the one I wanted but found the cheaper one on the 2nd page from Watcheden of Tag Heuer Carerra watches. :D:D

    I love this girl! :eek::eek:

I am not sure whether I should post it back and ask to swap with the other one with me paying the $237 difference. :D:D

Here they are. I will post some pics of mine soon. :):)

I have wanted a Breitling for some time now, though I cannot justify the cost of one at this point of time... I'm glad I found this thread though, I ended up purchasing a Replica from Watch-Den about 10 minutes ago; I'm hoping it'll be here soon as I'm very curious as to how it looks and performs. I'm excited to say none-the-less!

Im wearing my Watcheden Richard Mille now, heading out for dinner. :D:D

I LOVE wearing my Watcheden Panerai too. ;);)

Got this Tag now, still want 5 more watches to fill my watch box. A Breitling is on the cards too. :D:D

I am sure you are going to love your new replica watch. Which one did you order Devon? Be sure to let us know what you think of it when it arrives. :D:D

I am also very glad I saw this thread. As stated, the RM I bought wears really nicely and gets a lot of comments. I will be buying a few more in the future.

Fantastic to hear!! My RM got a few comments tonite from the bartenders. :D:D

Mainly asked what it was and where did I get it from. I told them it was a Richard Mille and I got it from overseas. :D:D

    Love that watch! :D:D

This definitely will not be my last purchase from them if the watch looks nice, they have some more expensive Breitling replicas I'll pick up as well, and a couple of Movado's too.

The Watch I ordered is the Breitling Navitimer Tourbillon Chronograph Automatic with Blue Dial (29572).

Currently I just daily wear a Seiko and while it is nice, it has developed several scratches on the glass and subsequently I'm just bored of it at this point hah. One Breitling I really wish they have is the Airwolf though! Perhaps in the future they'll have it.

Hm, how long did it take for them to ship your watch? I still haven't heard anything from them in regards to shipping? Was really hoping to have the watch before tomorrow, oh well though.

Sorry - I know nothing of them. Whoever is looking for one needs to get themselves over to the various replica forums mentioned in this thread and do their own homework!
I've quite enough watches on my own list to be checking out!!!!

i'm currently in Hong Kong and walked around Mong Kok (ladies mkt), one stall had catalogues of replica bags and watches. I bought a few watches for gifts to friends (1x panerai and 2x Rolexes). the Rolex quality is very good.

Sent them an email and turns out the Easter holiday slowed them down. Was sent a tracking number in the mail the other day; the watch is on it's way from Hong Kong now - I'm excited!

    Very good! :D:D

I posted mine back to them the other day to exchange for the Tag Carerra that I want. :):)

All is good so far, they will have the watch soon. I was sent a link to pay for the watch. I paid, got a confirmation email 2 days later from this site where I paid for the watch. Too easy. :):)

But I received and email from Sara saying the payment didnt go through. She told me to pay again.:rolleyes:

Whats going on there I wonder?? My watch is on its way back to them, I paid the US $262 difference and now she is telling me payment hasnt gone through when my credit card statement has taken the money out. :(:(

I will have to tell her to check again..........
