David you are probably correct on it being portugese as the feed said it would be back at 7.00 and that's the time in Portugal to come on since it comes on here at 01.00- thanks - hopefully not asleep when P2 comes on...

I'd imagine having MS as a team mate would have a serious effect on anyone....either demoralising or very motivating. Looks like Rosberg has the right attitude. good on him

C'mon what sort of logic is that. .2 is old and done?

Rosberg also had 5 extra laps. I don't find Rosberg impressive at all if he is only .2 better then the old guy.

Just looking at the times, it looks like if MS is a washed up has been, so is Vettel. What a shame...I really like Vettel! Kimi replacing him? lol.

Gday Tillman. My point was that with numbers you can prove anything. At this stage, my numbers prove as much as yours. Even if MS ends the year slower than Nico, I'm not sure that's such a bad result.

What is the point then? If 7x WDC cannot beat his team-mate, why is he taking up a valuable spot that another driver could fill? Isn't the point of F1 to have the best drivers out there each week? There are several retired WDCs out there who we all like, but this is not an historic reprise show is it? Who would watch it?

the marketing exercise alone would be worth it for Mercedes, an additional bonus is we get to see Schumacher prove there's life in the old dog yet.

33 min: Replays indicate that the RB6 suffered a sudden loss of power as Webber accelerated towards the tight left-hander. Webber is now walking away as the safety crew removes the car to a safer position.

just checked live timing that was up from P2 - I think I made about 10 minutes into the session and called it quits - Lewis was consistant yesterday and makes you wonder about Vettel - he was fast but what was his fuel load at the time.....Mercedes was consistant too. First thing I read on one of the sites was Button is complaining about his McLaren's set up - real problems or a Lewis problem?? Ferrari was definitely behind the power curve in both sessions.

Sounds like interesting discussion at the FOTA meeting - (autosport) teams will look at all options for a KERS return in 2011 - ranging from a standard supplier to freeing up the technology totally. Teams will also look at exactly how much, or how little, power the KERS should have.

The momentum behind getting KERS back has been increased because of the difficulties that drivers have faced in overtaking this season - and providing a push-to-pass system once again would help with the racing.

There is also a high chance that revisions to the cars already in the pipeline will help the situation further. Double diffusers have already been banned for 2011, which should cut downforce levels, while it is understood that the FIA is looking at increasing the diameter of F1's rear tyre rims to 18 inches for next year - up from the 13 inches of the current generation.

This will produce much more mechanical grip, which should be another factor in helping boost the racing spectacle.

    Carol
