Looks like a great wknd Kevin. Can't wait to see the rest.

Side note, I was checking out an F50 registry and counted only 25 giallo F50's produced. Can anyone confirm this? Just curious...

Great shots as usual Kevin. You are a trackaholic for sure! Crazy thing about that bird, must have given you a little shock. Good thing it didn't hit the windshield.

thanks Fred - and again I was blown away by the way you drove.... with street tires, a passenger, all of Fred..., 140hp - you carried speed like a pro - you cant make the car what it isnt put your exit speeds were impressive - Of course I had to hunt you down like the dog you are - but I have Hoosiers, AP brakes w/ Pagid pads, and 150 more ponies.... evenly matched I couldnt tell you I could beat you....

I will bring you a disc on Sat - I have some great pictures of your car!

found the event a tad dangerous.

They grouped very very slow cars with very fast cars.

At the end they put random, slowly driven street cars, including a pickup truck and a $500 taxi cab with Challenge cars which were doing low 13s and 14s. (the taxi cab ran around all day with $300,000+ Ferraris) Extremely dangerous situation when you group cars doing 20 seconds a lap slower. If there was an accident surely would have created alot of liability for the club and organizers. Thank God there was not but at a minimum it frustrated the fast guys and scared the slow ones.

interesting comment - the mix wasnt perfect for all the reasons you mentioned - and not without incident.
The LeMons car (taxi cab) was not an issue for me particularly -
but there was a ALMS pro race team on track testing a new driver & running in mixed mark - IN TRAFFIC - no less - I know this first hand as I got clipped in the straightaway before turn 7 - fortunately it was just a light tap on to my left front fender, took out a light, got into my wheel & popped a little hole in the fiberglass fender - at that speed it could have been much a much worse day for me - dont ask me why a responsible team owner would do that - guess renting the track was more expensive, who knows but I dont blame the driver - I am guessing he was just doing what they told him to.

This is exactly why they should have different run groups.

Different run groups solves most of the issues. Overall this was a phenomenal event - The organizers went the distance to provide a safe relaxed event. I can say this from personal experience - the Nov event at PBIR was well run too and having run in PCA & PBOC events at Sebring I think the FCA event was heads and shoulders above the others - and I have seen some real carnage at PCA events.

For the record I dont blame the organizers or the other driver for the incident I was involved in - simply put - in my opinion - race testing during a Club event is inappropriate and dangerous.

I was at PBOC in November. There were a lot of accidents, bad ones too. A couple of them right in front of me. A lot more cars in the field, 50+ cars in one run group. PBOC had overall in January 110 cars racing, it was crazy. They put me in R2 run group with the P1 cars!!
I think Steve should seperate the cars, but he does a nice event. I am glad you had a good time.

I suspect this may have been a helpful event for Steve to evaluate how to run mixed marque - I can assure you Steve had no idea there was a team testing on track until after my shunt and without getting into the details he handled it appropriately and with great dispatch.

will try and build agallery this afternoon - the remaining pictures are stunning.
