You reckon they can work wonders on the 355's motor? Always complain about the lazy low end torque, engine sleeping until 5k. But I don't want extra power/torque and then worry about reliabilty as she's a keeper.

Possible. Anything with ECU & yours on Motronic 5.2?

In fact, likely better. He found a strange issue with factory spec on my car that was running 20% rich on idling.

Call Gary who'll check for u. Best is when he's in town.

It's a 2.7. DMS says they can boost it to run on 97 octane as it is presently rated for 95 as per handbook. But I'm just concern on the reliablity part.

You'll be surprised. Factories usually leave a good 20-30% excess for extra tuning where they later launch SEs & bill us for more. Your car is over 12yrs now & it could do well with a good tuning as you don't know if it's running too rich or lean.

I can't remember where I read this but does the rating of fuel affects the heat? I know the ratings of plug do. Some guys in the past used different rated plug to run worn engines or something like that.

Some mechanics use thicker oil for older engines as well. No?

Yes you should do it as I mentioned in KL. Immediate night and day difference. The only decision you would make is which company you would choose to tune the car. Both EM and DMS have their plus points. EM is based here so if anything does screw up they can fix it.

Bro, its being sold by Garage R... at their show room. Its really an amazing track day weapon and far cheaper than a cup car etc... but remember that where a track car can go 20 or 30 laps non stop, this car will do probably 5 hot laps then need to come in and cool off.... you get what you pay for.... yeah its an amazing car for the money...

Honestly I think it boils down to feedback and access. I would imagine the remap programs will be pretty similar. Since EM is just "down the road" you can give them a try as it would be easier since they are located locally.

just did my cs with dms two weeks ago when rob was here. car feels lighter n smoother and acceleration more effortless, like it breathes better- but the downside is the car sounds much quieter-not sure that can be fixed tho.

My family's going to Europe this month end. We'll be in Brussels, Paris, Rome and Nice. Which city is nearest to Maranello? Thinking of dropping by the factory :D

Btw, my bro-in-law has a shop in South of France: http://www.propista.com/

Kindly let your French friends know of his shop. Thanks a ton, FCSG! ;)
