    Guys, been hanging around the fringe ah-beng community of late and getting closer to my roots :D. Actually a lot of them are great guys and dead serious about their driving.

    They seem to have annual "time attacks" of Sepang where they all get out for 1 hour and get timed with the transponders to see who is king of the hill for the year... pretty interesting if not a little scary.

    Some interesting lap times in it, we could probably mix it with most of the guys there but there are some seriously impressive times too...

    You can also see a pic of the matt black 2:16 Garage R car currently for sale.... it subsequently went 2:14 last year....

    Bud, check out the link in my above post... there is a pic of the car.... apparently can be relatively easily converted back to stock interior, have the ride height raised and change out the doors and errr covert to daily plate and you have a street car that can wipe the smile off most anyone.... except your face whcih will be grinning all the way :)

    Was just at Garage R at lunch and had another look at it... it really is a ridiculous car.... in a good way...

    Interestingly it is not a ridiculously powered car (around 450bhp), but what makes it a track weapon is the extremely light weight of it (many lightweight components on the body), and a top notch suspension and an alignment set up by Lester (owner of Garage R, and one of the fastest drivers in Singapore).

    Stay a night in Bologna or Maranello itself, there's a hotel that faces the factory & giftshops are everywhere. Modena & the rest are like villages but if you want city, Milan is it. If u guys want it easier, sign up with a local tour group that has daily visits to the car factories. Think they can be found in the central Piazza.

    My wallet weak lah. It's 20K Euros ;) but before bro discount.
    Well, he has already built a special manual gearbox to handle it too. Just pick up a regular 997TT for cheap & have fun or there's a red GT2 for sale as well ;)

    Btw guys. The inspection centres are getting all worked up now & will give you a hardtime. I wasted a morning cos tinting couldn't pass even @ 63%, needs 70 & my sides are now all sticky after tearing it off. They have a gadget to test & they do go under the carriage to check all joints & nos.

    i just did the factory tour in dec. went from milan. milan is abt 2 hr train ride to modena. then anor 45min by taxi to maranello. if u drive i think abt 1 3/4 hrs to maranello from milan. to do factory tour, you need to be ferrari owner, arrange the tour thru the local ferrari agent, ital auto, .ferrari museum is free for owners or else u hv to pay. under 16s not allowed on factory tour.

    Hi Jon, do you remember which hotel is directly in front of Ferrari's factory? So that we can book online to avoid stressful transfers from one hotel to another.

    My brother-in-law said that as a dealer, they do get bi-annual trips to the factory but unfortunately, it'll be sometime in June. Asked him to push it back a bit haha! Too bad also that we won't be able to watch the F1 race at Monaco which is just minutes from my sister's place.
