Might also be some road crud here and there courtesy of the aero vortex created by the rear spoiler/cove? Could be it even smashed a bug or two back there on the Mulsanne?!

I would think with that short and open manifold design it would not be at all difficult to get the pipe tips white/grey. Show me a stock Daytona with white tips!

Yup. Sylvania made 110V fluorescent number lights for Le Mans which worked with a step up transformer 12V-110V. A set was mounted to 0846 (#20) but not to J6. I wound up with two J6 sets. Unfortunately they no longer work so we photo silk screened them, put a fluorescent behind them and they're our night lights.

    Hi Mr.Napolis,
I have almost all your wonderfull pics..(I was the Fchatter that ask you if the Daytona number border was of the rigth color!) but thanks for the repost.
In the hurry to ask you the question I mistake(!)the race and the year!
I mean the little emispherical lights used in the following years, at Sebring, Le Mans etc..
There are many pics around but I wasn't able to see a big one, to understand the metal part and the glass one.
    Thanks again,
    Alessandro

Thanks, I believed that for a race (LM,Sebring etc.)the lamps must be the same for all the cars...your yellow Beauty does't have the same of the P3/4?
Out of the thread I know, sorry and thanks again,

No J6 has Ford Ranchero licence plate lights for number lights.

0846 also used one Lucas light at Daytona for a Pit ID light. (Blue)

I would be rather heated about this as well and am of course on your side in such things so I'm not being combative at all with this question, but I am genuinely curious what legal precedent is there for you to forbid them using photos and video which you do not own the copyrights to?

Also, after seeing this video of you climbing into the open topped #0846 I am also curious just how difficult entry into the closed roof car might be? Doesn't look like you would have a lot of room to maneuver, at least not in the same way you did there.

Here's the thing. You can licence an image but you can not use it as a commercial endorsement.

For example you can licence an image of Madonna but you can't use that image to sell cosmetics.

As 0846 is unique as am I the same applies as they are using these images to promote commercial activity and IMO implying my endorsement of that activity.

    As for ingress.

Spyder is definetely easier and thin hips required. Coupe is harder by can be done. Once in not too bad.

Thanks for the explanation. I had a feeling that it was related to the unique/individually idenfiable nature of the specific car (and owner), but appreciate your explanation. Also good to hear they will offer a quick resolution to suit your desires. :)

I'd make the struggle to get inside either one of them, but it does seem like you'd need to be fairly limber for the coupe. Assume they still did those running starts for the drivers in 1967 - the coupes must have been a little slower off the line then as well. ;)

I can't believe companies are still cutting up real Ferraris to make these replicas. I guess 365 GT/4's and 400i's will be their target ... time for Ferrari Spa to close the doors of these companies before any more cars are cut up/wasted.

    So disappointing ...
