Looks like very ordinary weather coming up for this event in Victoria on Sunday...great pity.
Do you think this will adversly effect attendances?

yep....if the forecast doesn't change it will be very unfortunate, because the organisers do a lot of work.

+1, the organisers put a lot of time in.

I personally preferred Birrarung Marr or however its spelt although I do realise those with cars didn't like the dust. You can't please everyone. More parking options, plus as a family it gives you other things to do to keep the little ones entertained and also plenty of food outlets. Just my opinion of course.

You only like it there because you can cycle there. :) When you're a peasant like me it really is a pain in the bum trying to get a car park and theres nothing else around to do after looking at the cars. (I was lucky last time because Phil had taken SD's F50 down so I rang him and he removed the orange cone so I could park on the loading platform on his truck). You don't have a family so you wouldn't understand. ;)

The good thing about last year was that you could make it a family day out.

Yep, hence you need other things for THEM to do (i.e. playgrounds etc) so you can look at and appreciate the cars. ;) Fed square had heaps of stuff on so the kids went and looked at that with mum while dad looked at what a 308 Ferrari looks like. Its been a while since he's seen a complete car. ;)

    that's so totally wrong.

    heaps of parking around como.

people driving past see the cars and stop v people walking past them in transit stop with their pushbikes and prams and scratch them.

nowhere to sit and eat near the cars v sitting on the grassy hill and having a picnic.

game set and match to como.

    thank you ballless boys.

Well, my car has gone to Vito (he who has done the paintjobs on the last several concours winners) and he got rid of the stone chips and scratches.
Then it went to Billy Moussa (he who did the interiors for the last several concours winners) and he fixed up the scratch on my leather.
Then Mario from EuroGloss spent 4 days polishing, nanokoting, double waxing the paint, fully detailing every little engine bit, interior bit, wheels, underbody, etc. Even the latch mechanisms have been cleaned and polished like new.
Then Phil is trucking the car there since it will be raining, but the car will be driven back (who cares if it gets dirty afterwards).
Phil, Sandro and Paul McCreery will be babysitting the car there for the judging, and Mario will be there all day for any unexpected touch-ups.

So far, the cost is climbing above $6k. And why have I done all this? Because last year, PeePee said that the car should have been in the concours, it's that good. So we all know whom to blame now!

And I won't even be there as I am in Perth for this weekend seeing my kids.

No time this year. When the S4s won the national concours last year, I spent 8 full days in total getting it ready myself.

Ask JM. He's known him well for decades. He's ex-Smiths' senior service manager. He's the one that works for me now looking after my cars.

    My gift to you!
