Being my first Ferrari I'm not sure what's normal and what's not. When I first start the car (cold) I hear a slight rattling noise coming from the engine/ gearbox area, almost like a clutch through out bearing?? Chattering??. I believe it stops once the car warms up or I get used to it. Let me know ur thoughs. Btw my car has 6% clutch wear.

How long does the noise last? Is it simply a few seconds on start up, until it gets up to temp, or ???

My F430 emits a tinny rattle from the front bulkhead when cold, but not from behind.

That does not sound normal-especially if it does not clear until it gets up to temp. I would have it looked at.

Hate to the bearer of bad news, but no one on a message board is going to be able to diagnose a rattle when you're car is cold and tell you if it's normal or not. My advice is to get the car checked out by a qualified mechanic or dealer if it concerns you that much or if just started happening.
