I haven't seen anything about her on here. Not sure if anyone went. I decided not to deal with the traffic & chaos...watched it live from home. Anyone brave the crowds & go? Worth it?

Great memories there...not sure if the "Jerry-dome" can fill it's shoes...lotta history there. We'll all miss her.

I actually heard the implosion early Sunday morning while I was lying in bed. I felt my house shake and the window's rattle a bit. I thought it was thunder. I turned on the TV only to see the replay of the event. I live over in northeast Lake Highlands area and have to be about 10 to 12 miles from the stadium.

It must have been something to experience up close.

Wow. And they were imploding Texas Stadium...not Jerry Jones' house (he lives over near you off Preston Rd).

Actually, come to think of it, I'm sure there are many people in Dallas that would rather it HAD been Jerry's house their were demolishing. :)

He's a good businessman, but money can't buy class...

Bad decision on your part. I left home at 6:15, drove in on Spur 482. Pulled off the road, parked in a GREAT spot on the frontage road, watched it fall, and was home by 8:15. The only traffic issues were waiting for them to reopen 482, and getting put out on 183 Westbound. No different than leaving a game.

I stood next to the guy in the orange vest on that dirt mound while it blew, he said he helped build it and was there to watch it fall. He's a crane operator working on the DART light rail that's running through that area.

What a spectacle. My kid said "I bet I'll remember that rest of my life". Yeah, I bet he will. I have video of it, but have to figure out how to get it off of my phone. It was LOUD.

I really wish I could have gone, but there were some other factors at play as well as the aversion to the traffic & crowd.

A year or so ago, I went through an Estate Sale where I found several packages of large
( 16"x20" ) heavy paper prints of Texas Stadium from opening day back in 1971.

Anyways, at the last minute ( Saturday Night ) I thought about going out Sunday morning really early and selling them for a $1.00... figuring anyone out there obviously was a fan of sorts... end up sleeping in. Think I may just give some away or put them on e-bay or craigs list.. LoL.

wish I had gone now... looks like fun.

Ditto. Might even do better than $1.
