Yes, Naples. The car in question is a 288 GTO. At the time of our FCA garage tour, several years ago, he had every BBR model of a Ferrari! Hundreds of them. Above the garage doors are original Alfredo de la Maria (sp?) paintings. His swimming pool is equally jaw-dropping. KevFla
Yeah, then he can log on to F-Chat and see that he ran the "Super Ferrari" category. Also, there is a thread in the Super Ferrari section saying the Chris Evans white Ferraris are for sale. I am assuming that pic you posted of the white GTO and F40 in the background was Evans.
Ok...here's a step back... to a "regular guy garage"...FWIW (Yeah, I still need to do the floors, the doors and trim, the stairs, etc.) However, after seeing all the incredible garages on here I thought a little perspective was in order...just to show how incredible the other posts in the forum really are! So I did a little searching and found that the vintage Ferrari we have been trying to figure out is a replica of a Testa Rossa that was commissioned by ex-Ferrari F1 driver Innes Ireland. It was built on a 330 GT 2+2 chassis. When the current owner got the car he had it reworked to make it perfect. Great pool as well. Thanks for the pictures 333.
Well he clearly had a 512 and a 288gto so I'm thinking these are pics taken a ways apart. I wonder if he still has the 512. If you notice the 512 on the previous page is in the 5th spot and when you reverse it to the picture with the red 288gto close the 5th car is an F40. Possibly he has another off site garage or he traded up from the 512 to the 288 Yep that's his 288 and f40. Only 2 white 288's I've seen. One of them a guy down under I believe. Griot's Garage would be proud. We are 1 mile from Richards new building that opens in a couple of months. Good guy and his passion for cars is up there with anyone. Interesting to have a replica in that group with an actual 250 gto in the garage. I know some of the 1 off replicas have quit the following and hold high values. Car looks awesome replica or real.
Yep and Richard isn't telling you where ! HA! It's a mile from me JT in an old Coke bottling plant. It's close to done
Yeah, with his collection I would bet he doesn't have to answer any questions about it. And the provenance of that particular car (ex Innes Ireland, Ferrari chassis, ect...) is pretty special. I know people on here debate it all day about replicas but I don't have any problem with them if its of a highly desired, expensive and rare car that you actually want to drive around. There are a few I would love to have..(a good 427 Cobra, a good 550 Spyder) You aren't trying to fool anyone into thinking its a $750,000 car, just out to have fun. However, a Fiero based Ferrari copy is as stupid as a fake Rolex.
I'm at about the same satge as you but half way through mudding and tape. Any thoughts to what type of lighting you're going to go with? I'm leaning toward some sort of recessed fluorecent but not committed as of yet. Poking around on here for ideas... Brian
If you are talking about the picture I posted of the white 288gto and white f40 you are correct though they are both for sale right now along with his white 275 and a couple others
I didn't go through the entire thread so forgive me if this is already posted but check out this amazing collection of garages. http://www.luxury4play.com/automotive/36568-worlds-most-beautiful-garages-exotics-insane-garage-picture-thread-50-pics.html
