The preacher, in his Sunday sermon, used "Forgive Your Enemies" as his subject. After a long sermon, he asked how many were willing to forgive their enemies. About half held up their hands. Not satisfied he harangued for another twenty minutes and repeated his question. This time he received aresponse of eighty percent. Still unsatisfied, he lectured for fifteen minutes and repeated his question. With all thoughts now on Sunday dinner, all responded except one elderly lady in the rear. "Ms. Jones, are you not willing to forgive your enemies?' "I don't have any." "Ms. Jones, that is very unusual. How old are you? "Ninety-three." "Ms. Jones, please come down in front and tell the congregation how a person can live to ninety-three and not have an enemy in the world." The little sweetheart of a lady teetered down the aisle, very slowly turned around & said: "It's easy. I just outlived them."
reminded me of one along similar lines ... Preacher: Son, I'm going to pray for you to forgive John for beating the crap out of you yesterday. Boy: Father, wait till I get better, then pray for John.
im not an eu lawyer, but if the warranty is sold by the factory (as opposed to the local agent),then eu law may well still apply if the terms of the warranty are stated to be subject to it. under spore law theres very little protection for the consumers, maybe under the unfair contract terms act which can be used to strike down unreasonable limitation or exclusion clauses.boils down to reading the fine print and having the will to fight the factory over the issue (which might well not be financially viable since cost of fighting may well be more than the cost of repair! ideally u need pressure groups like clubs esp to support the individual n raise the stakes for the factory a bit. i still think if car is clean n good service history, extended warranty may not be worthwhile ultimately with all the unfair restrictions
