Don't you still have to have the airbag covers done in leather or will they let you do that in alcantara?

In the Scud it covered areas like the parts in between the bolsters and seating area. I've been trying to find a way to describe it and the best I can come up with is..squidgy cross patterned softish fabric type thing. Looks funky when you first see it but extremely comfortable.

I'm sure there are pictures in the Scuderia picture thread.

gotcha - I was hoping for something new!

Ferrari has the finest car leather in the world and its replaced with alcantara - whatever that even is.

Here is a pic where I was describing the ipod connector for a fellow scud owner. The technical fabric is on the seats, slightly out of focus.

Thanks. Sorry for the confusion created. It is the same option as on the GTB / HGTE = CF engine bay. Airbox is in red.

No, they won't let you do it in Alcantara for some reason otherwise I would have done the upper dash in Alcantara as well. I didn't want to have any leather (my HGTE has plenty of that) since I wanted the "race look". It's either Tech fabric or leather for the airbag covers.

This may all change over time. When I ordered my 599 HGTE One-to-One I couldn't get the roll bar in Alcantara. Now I could. Seems they sorted the problems out :)

Is it correct that most cars shown on the launch of the 599HGTE edition were shown in a special red that comes close to the rosso corsa.
I wonder if it is possible to order the 599GTO exactly in that colour.

I think you are referring to "Rosso Fuoco". This was the colour of the HGTE as presented in 2009 in Geneva. Stunning colour and it is possible to get it on the GTO. I thought about it but in the end passed on it as the price is absurd (€ 15k excl. VAT).

Yeah, that is exactly the colour I was thinking about. It really is a beautiful colour for the 599 (and 458 by the way), but that they are charging 15k is new to me. It looks like they
mixed rosso monza with the rosso F1 (430 Scuderia) and the result was rosso fuoco.
So in this case rosso corsa is the best choice.

Entire 2 year GTO allocation to Hong Kong sold out like hot cakes. I did not buy one

The GTO must be $1,000,000 in HK considering the crazy import taxes you got there

Question that came to mind: Will the GTO be delivered in RHD as well?

hello, i was told by my ferrari dealer in dec 2009 that i would have one of his allocation for certain. two weeks ago my dealer sent my bio/history to FNA. i have yet to hear anything-confirmation of my allocation for the GTO? does anyone know when all the US allocations will be decided? does each dealer get 3?

would really like to know if all the US dealers now know who gets a car?
