I really am truly speechless. You guys simply are awesome for doing this.
Guys just to clarify, it's Steve who has the special needs kid - Steve is the person who originally posted on Pelican trying to find support for this fantastic effort. I really have only been acting as a liaison between the forums. Matt
Guys, I want to bring to your attention this thread that has been posted on the North West region forum and also again on Pelican parts.... Maybe there's a way that these can be merged or a new thread started for Alex's journey home? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=281158 Josh has been in contact with Susie all this time about a gathering in Portland, OR on the 27th-28th. He already has a venue ready, but looking for more support. So let's make a call out to all owners in the Portland region to put on a great show. Sport cars galore, exotics or not so exotics, just no AMC Pacers! lol Maybe we can have a call out to other forums? Cobras? Lambos? how cool would it be for a Bugatti to turn up? Matt
Very cool thing you guys did. Kev, 1/4 mile from the hotel? You probably let the car warm up longer than you drove it.
Hi all, just when I was thinking to shut the PC , I found this link on Pelican. The flag is up and the Ferrari Rumble was escorted by Burbank PD. Click on the link. http://www.burbanknbeyond.com/Archive/2010/041510ferraris.html
True class. I admire the group's efforts. I wish i could have been a part of it too. 1. Henry 2. Haig 3. Kev 4. spEYEdr
I didn't know about an auction today, but do you have any more info on the family's plans/schedule while here in the Phoenix area?
Yes they were heade to Phoenix when I last spoke with them. Not sure what their plans were. I think they were heading to Grand Canyon but nor sure. I will update u tomorrow.
Wow, I was just forwarded this thread by MSeals from Kuwait.............Texas would have been a little far to come but I know all the F/Cer's in Texas would have been happy to help out. If ever we can be of any help maybe a little closer to home or with a little more notice just let us know. If the family has a trip scheduled toward the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas let us know. We would like to show them some of our "Texas hospitality...." Hats off to you guys for a job well done and the job that is going to be done in Vegas and Portland........................ And we welcome them to the Ferrarichat family,,,,,a great group.......
Copterjon just told me about this, and I am sure that I can get some Phoenix guys together for this young man. If anyone knows the contact info for the family while they are in Phoenix, I can take the lead and make it happen for him over here.
Welcome Robert. No need to buy a Ferrari to be part of the club, but we don't discourage it either Great having you guys with us. Please thank your officers that participated too. Hope to see you at some future events. Henry
Well I certainly hope so, I haven't been this choked up and teary eyed since the birth of my children. You all made us very proud, and a big thanks to the BPD, you guy's are great for going that extra mile. Best wishes to Alexander and his family, And thank you for letting us be a small part in your lives. Please Mods make this a sticky. Cheers! Ps: I want to give a shout out to our Porsche brother's on the Pelican site. Thanks to all of you as well!!
Unbelievable and rapid effort Yanks,If Alexander could fly I,m certain exotic owners around the world would follow your lead. Still wiping the tears!
Thanks FBI for making me aware of this thread how I missed it I will never know. This is what it's all about putting everything aside to make another person dream come true. Way to go boys you made me proud to be part of this great Forum. My GF is sobbing beside me know after reading and looking at the pics and i must admit I am teary eyed myself, thumbs up fellas.
GOOD NEWS.... I would like to share this email with you all, Alexander-trip is the user name on Pelican and soon we will have one on FChat. Dear Haig, I'm e-mailing you from my sister Susie McCormack (Alexander's Mom) e-mail. I went on to the Pelican parts forum and signed Alexander up, he is listed as: Alexander-trip. Not sure what to do from here or how to get to the right posting page to view what we saw in the little booklet you made up for Alexander. We are feeling a bit inept (our daughters are usually the ones who help us sort these things out, poor Alexander has had enough of us for one day... hehehe) We have had yet another exciting and exhausting day. We will have to try and get the pictures on to our lap top tomorrow and then hopefully we will have figured out how to navigate on the Pelican Parts blog. We will try and get in touch with you tomorrow. thanks, Auntie Bridget
