Fantastic drive by Button, Hamilton, Alonso, Kubica, Petrov and Rosberg.

    They should all be proud.

Of course, this all means nothing.... it's up to the whims of the FIA now.

I predict a ton of anger towards Hamilton on the forum over the next week, and a free pass to Alonso for the Massa move :D

the results should be provisional for button and lewis as well as alonso

why is it they come on the radio to lewis at the end when he's concentrating?

    Very entertaining race.

Alonso was phenomenal given the 5 pit stops and the drive through. Shame he couldn't grab P3. Massa had a fairly average race. Imagine if he didn't jump the start...

Ferrari needs to stop with all these stupid mistakes and start racking-up some serious points.

Good action again today. McLaren put some distance between them, Ferrari and Red Bull today.

Too bad the rainy circuits are now mostly behind us. I'd imagine Red Bull will start to assert themselves over the next 5 races.

I doubt it. The stewards had 20 minutes to either levy penalty or announce an investigation. Button and Alonso will skate, Lewis and Vettel will wait and see who the hammer falls on.

    Why?

Alonso is not under investigation. Neither is Button AFAIK. Only Lewis and Vettel are.

You're probably correct. I think you can add Vettel to the list also (since he's also being investigated).

McHam in a class of his own but Button deserved the win.

I don't know if an investigation was officially announced or not but the stewards did say that they wanted to talk w/Lewis before levying a penalty for the pit incident.

So far... but Alonso passed under the safety car.

    Dunno what Button did.

They don't need to announce investigations before the race is over to investigate and penalize... so you never know what will happen.

5am in Boston.... time to go to bed. I am sure the F1 sites will be buzzing with comments and anger and elation and more by the time I get up :)

Button held up the field behind the safety car - I forget the reg that Matchett cited. Alonso's pit move was secondary to the jumped start. They all "skate" - shades of Mosley being around. At least the other racing things are provisional until deemed otherwise.

The time for investigations and penalties have passed. Alonso and Button won't be penalized.

I think Alonso must feel he blew this race. He drove fantastically but it was inexcusable to jump the start.

What a great and long race! I have to admit I was wrong about assuming that Button would be overshadowed by Hamilton this year. He's doing fantastic so far.

Great race, 2-0 for button against hamilton so always good :D

I honestly can't believe that Hamilton got away with running over the white stripe TWICE and PUSHING webber of the road. Same thing goes for Alonso, the white line is there for a reason and its not very sporting towards your teammate.

The mercedes cars were clearly struggling all weekend, Schumacher really had a tough time :(. Same goes for the Red Bulls.

Kubica once again drove as clean as possible, and again a good result for him. Petrov was GREAT in the final stages, I missed if he put on new tires again but he was FLYING! Well done petrov.

Massa was also struggling all weekend, but he never had a great result here IIRC.

All in all, I hope the updates to the Mercedes will suit schumacher because it was painful to see this today...:(.

It would take a really serious foul to deny Button his win and I didn't see one. No one else will be given the benefit of the doubt.
