my wife spotted and was nice enough to snap a pic for me today; black G convertible, but with an ORANGE interior. is actually very cool!
Spotted a certain moderator in a Rapide around 4:30 Also saw a 360 Spider and Bentley GT on Waukegan this afternoon.
I know this is lame, but the only Ferrari I have seen in over 4 days. Found in the San Luis Potosi, Mexico airport this morning. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nah, Dan usually drives his 333SP to work. He doesn't want to put mileage on his and Janie's 'expensive' cars!
Spotted on Broadway in Lakeview after the CUBS game...debdged AND 6MT Image Unavailable, Please Login
Okay okay... Re: Post #196 in this thread: The dual engine wide body was 500 feet south of the intersection of Briar Hill Road and Rte. 20 and Allen Road in Hampshire, Illinois. It was raining. Re: Post #197 in this tread: The custom, build as you go, high mileage, rocket propelled vehicle was somewhere over Pennsylvania (I was 5 miles north of Rockford, Illinois) when I made the snap.
Not lame. Probably a very good bike - too bad nobody rides it. A friend of mine has two Porsche designed, Porsche branded, Porsche badged, carbon fiber mountain bikes (one dual suspension, one hard tail) - and he rides them. He outrode me to to the top of Rollins Pass near Winter Park, Colorado on one of them. They are very good and extremely rare.
Yellow Gallardo North bound on 94 at around 4:30pm. Up to that point I haven't seen a single exotic while driving around all day long. I couldn't believe it, in this perfect weather not to see more kool kars.
I haven't seen one of these in a long time, and never one as sparkly fresh looking. It looks like an amalgamation of so many different cars circa 1968, from corvette to daytona, but is so unique that even from 1/2 mile away I knew what it was. Umm, with between 83 and 102 hp, it was easy to catch up with. Location: Between I-90/39 and Perryville Rd on East Riverside Dr., Loves Park (just north of Rockford). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Silver R8 on Ogden and Chicago. Thats all i saw today...Nothing new in the Viagra Triangle, the same old Superleggera in front of the Colonial..
I think most of them have been crushed and recycled! The last one I saw was probably about 20 yrs ago.
My neighbor growing up had at least 2 Opels. While @ my parents house in Palos Park I saw the neighbor with the 308 has upgraded to a 348 Spyder.
Do you know why Opel GT drivers have really strong right arms? Lampe rauf, Lampe runter. Lampe rauf, Lampe runter. Translation: Move up and down your lights. The Opel GT used a mechanical cable pulley to raise and lower the front lights. Also Opel GTs were death traps: The transition area between sliding and rolling was on a knife's edge. Many people died in the roll overs.
Yesterday at the Volo museum: Looks like a Batmobile to me, but in gold? And abused just as a road marker? Sounds to me like it is a replica only, which means somebody must have made some molds off the original. Interesting... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Me too. Was like my 5th trip there. It is fantastic that such a place is near Chicago. And they're actually doing pretty well, they got lots of new movie cars. While many museums are closing their doors in this economy, the Volo expands. Somebody is doing something right.
