Given how exciting the race was, should all F1 races be run in the rain. USGP of Seattle? Grand Prix of the Amazon rain forest?

The driver skill on display was staggering with the constant correcting of slip at both ends of the car. Passing was up all over the place and the race was as fun to watch as any I've seen in a while. Usually there's more passing in a Porsche Club Race final lap than in a whole season of F1, but this China was an order of magnitude more fun to watch than usual.

The problem is track layouts for starters, whilst rain does improve the show its not the answer.

The good part about wet track is that it does show the drivers skills up, or not, and does help level the field somewhat.

I wonder how it would work out with a half and half circuit, using hydrators to dampen half the track. Talk about tire selection!

I'm making a prediction that if Barcelona is a dry weekend, it's going to be one hell of a snoozer. Bahrain Part 2. The rain has made these past 3 races entertaining; albeit artifical. It's enjoyable, but we'll all be complaining after Spain..if there's no rain

Indeed great track to go to with sun, but hopeless for overtaking.

The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain.

Barca's definitely gonna be a snoozer. Plus, they tried to re-design the last corner of the track to encourage overtaking, but it failed.

Yeah, i agree, Circuit de Catalunya is up there with Hungry and Valencia for most processional races.
I never fully understood there thinking when they re-designed the last corner, but not the first corner.
There is plenty of room for modifications at turn 1 to make it tighter. It would become one of the best over taking zone's of any track, as the pit straight is one of the longest on the calendar..
