LOL. The guy from JustinTV was in the paper the other day and I thought, gees I know him from somewhere. Demetriou is becoming like Ecclestone, arrogant. He'll fall on his fat Greek face. Its a stupid game, if it were any good it would be played globally. ATEOTD its played in 3 states in Australia. If the TV stations are stupid enough to pay $1 Billion for it, good on them.

I'm hoping Nine picks it up. That means I get to watch my Bogan Taxi racing on 7 and F1 on 10/OneHD uninterrupted.

 

Whatever your views on Hamilton this was one of the best races in a long long time. Alonso deserved the penalty and the pitlane affair affected no-one so the outcome fitted the crime. Shuie obviously needs something, not a shadow of his former self. Not sure about the second safety car being brought out, that affected things too. Funny thing was the interview with Eddie Jordan who couldn't get to the race cos of some volcano, just shows hot air gets everywhere.

I agree. The commentary from Jonathan Legard around Hamilton is just so overwrought and disproportionate to his achievements. What is going on? Are they scared of the PC police? Is there a sponsor connection?

Brundle stays silent during Legard's rants about Hamilton - he is a model of restraint IMO.

It must drive UK F1 fans mad too. They've got the current world champion winning races and a drop-kick commentator sounding dissapointed about it!

btw, Legard was previously a nobody commentator on the 3rd tier BBC 5 radio channel.

 

+1 Ian - Martin has been known to be slightly British biased in the past, although one would expect that, that said at least he speaks from real race experience and generally offers good commentary, I also look forward to Coulthard's comments, they are generally considered & knowlegable.

I see there is talk the teams might not be able to get back to the UK in time to prepare for the next GP in Barcelona due to the Volcano issue. The Japanese round of the MotoGP has already been postponed to October.
