Well placed sources have advised me of a new trying-to-establish monthly Cars and Coffee in the Toledo, OH, area beginning this Sunday, April 25th, at 9 AM at/near Tim Horton's, 6815 West Central Ave, Sylvania, OH 43617. Location:

I may meet a pal out of Findlay, OH, driving a very nice dark blue Audi RS6 there if weather cooperates. Maybe you guys in Toledo area come out (TonyK and Rick Lederman I believe?) ?

Joseph, did I meet you two years ago at the show in Tiffin? I have a 308 GTBi, but drove a blue Lotus to the show.

 

Waiting on a new slave cylinder for the Esprit so most likely will not be there this time with it but count me in for future ones

Dang it guys, thank you all around T-Town for chiming in and it just seems the weather report brings in a boatload of showers late Sat and mostly into Sunday. Rats. Just Rats.

I was enjoying the nice weather today in T-town. Sure fits the mold that weekend weather forecast _____ . Each Monday seems to be perfect!

Ray - why don't you fix it ghetto style: Remove the seal from the piston, wrap some thread around the base/groove that the seal fits into, and then put the seal back on over it. The thread expands the seal enough to compensate for its worn outer edge. Now you can drive!

 

Neal -- Thanks for the notice and your effort, and I will keep checking here for Toledo Cars & Coffee meetings.

 

Tony was going to...even had a custom piston made on my lathe using orings as seals. Problem appears to be a huge nick in the cylinder itself. A new one should be hear today...granted I have yet to start this beast since putting the engine back in and adding the intercoolers so it very well may self destruct

 

WTOL now says no rain Sunday AM, drizzle in the afternoon. We will see!

 

If the sky is dry, I'll be there.

Hi guys,
I sent out a small group email about a Toledo Cars and Coffee and it seems that I has taken off very well. I just heard today that it made it to Ferrari Chat (thanks for posting it). I called it rained out last night, but we still had about ten cars show up to this cold, rainy, and cancelled event. A great group of guys too.

For the rest of the summer we are going to have Cars and Coffee on the second Sunday of every month at the same place (unless we out grow it). Weather and holidays will push it back one week. Mother's Day, on the second Sunday of May, will push CNC to the third Sunday of that month (16th).

There is a blue California in Toledo now, met the owner's son last night. Hopefully it shows up on the 13th, I certainly invited him.
