With the recent addition of the rosso scuderia striped CS at The Collection in Miami, the number of Strads available now stands at 44. Inventory may drop back to 43 quickly with a deal pending on the 15.9k mile CS at F of New England. Back to the CS at The Collection, nice looking car, but do your due diligence!! Appears to have had significant amount of work done at 300 miles including suspension work, but have not confirmed the reason behind all the work. Just do your homework on this one.

44... I take that back. I was just informed the 18k mile CS at Universal Autosports recently sold. Back to 43 and maybe to 42 if FoNE CS sales. Perhaps the lower prices and summer nearing have resulted in some nice transactions.

If this was Sep this year and I had a signed contract for my next job, I'd be working on getting this one. Cats is a forum sponsor so I'd feel pretty good about dealing with them.

Just FYI, called on the car in Philly, car had a major collision w/extensive repair. That's why they dropped the price to $129K. Way too high given it's history, IMO. Best.

    That's right, too much.

Interesting it has clean title, and the car that had a couple of small holes in the floorpan is a salvage title.

I've heard ( don't know which ones ) that 2 CS's on the market right now actually have had over $50k in repairs. Ouch!

Well, 50K doesn't get you much in crash repair. I know one that was wrecked 3 times (out of the USA) two minor and one a little more than minor. It was crashed twice at the track and once on the road. Over $100K in repairs.

I got to ride in it when brand new in the fall of 2003. Here's a picture I took of it at Fiorano.

One is the car that teak360 just posted (Porsche Main Line CS) and the other is red w/ stripe CS with red steering wheel at The Collection in Florida.

I don't disagree it's easy for 50k in damage. 2007 Ferrari Challenge had 1 million bucks in parts sold off Ferrari truck for the VIR weekend. Now that's some parts :)

truth be told the car if only parts were put on is probably better than new.

I sometimes follow that same logic. I mean it was just a bunch of parts when the car was assembled at the factory. And if you could be sure that it was a small enough hit to just require parts replacement then that logic may hold true. BUT the car in PA only has 4,400 miles on it. It's not like the parts were bad to start with.

And then you have the "story" to deal with when you want to sell.

Probably not a bad car if no structural damage and if you're OK with it having a "story" AND planning to keep it then no worries about resell. I was impressed with this dealer's full disclosure of what happened and the repair work, but price needs to be adjusted further. Car was repaired with an "open checkbook" by Classic Coach Repair in NJ and also had a full repaint, so even a paint meter wouldn't detect the paintwork.

Deal must have fell through as the Universal Autosports CS with 18k miles was relisted at $128k. Pretty wicked exhaust system in that one.

Another rosso scud CS w/ red leather, 4.5k miles listed today at Salem Motors in CT for $144.5k.

Joe M's gorgeous TDF CS w/ tan leather, 7.7k miles listed at F of Long Island for $144.5k.

With these three additions the CS market now stands at 46. And for those keeping track, yes, that's a new record!

For anyone needing info on my old CS, pm me. I'm not selling it, but my good friend, Gianni, is.

Wow! 46 for sale. It would interesting to know how many of the 46 had damage repair or are 15k mile+ cars. 50%?

This has got to be the 3500 mile car that was at FONE. It surfaces again. Someone bought it and put a quick 1000 miles on her.

I was (am) very interested in this car. I too was pleased with the dealerships approach to the history of the car. When I first went to look at it I was asked if I knew the story behind the car.....

With 46 cars for sale and cars like Joe's TDF being offered at 144.5 (and one would assume there's some wiggle room) I have to believe 129 is WAY out of line for a car that has been crashed. Granted it does not have a salvage title, but I really think that's moot given the story that goes with it.

If there were only a handful of cars available perhaps that number might be close, but with 46 cars for sale, and the market getting softer as I type, I feel that the car will be for sale for some time. I guess it's time for me to continue my search elsewhere.

I agree you should have some wiggle room but if you look across Stokpro's list of 46 cars you will find that over half are not priced to sell but "for sale" only. Once the owners want to sell the prices will start to drop. Until than I still believe the selling point is the 120-135k on these things. I'm sure one or two will sell above 145k but that markets gone now.

I'd ask to see all the repair orders and make sure the car frame wasn't revamped after the crash if it is all cosmetic stuff you will have a solid car but a storied solid car imho
