This thread makes me sad :(
I just came across this story about an abandoned XJ220 that falls in line with all these sad sights. http://jalopnik.com/5510502/jaguar-xj220-leaving-a-big-cat-to-die
How does someone have so little appreciation for something like this come to own it in the first place? I hope someone gets ahold of this and restores it somehow..
Extream wealth, just look at what part of the world the car is in. When you have billions of dollars from oil cars like this are expendable.
What....the.....hell?? I would love to know the rest of the story behind that one, and am stunned nobody has snagged that car. The owner obviously does not care about it.
I have a feeling that the car was not abandoned, but was rather caught in a dust storm, or something similar very recently. If you look, none of the tires are flat or even seem to have flat spots, which is uncommon for an abandoned car. In addition, given the area, if a car like that was left abandoned on the street for a period of time people would probably have already stripped parts off of it.
From the dents over the rear/passenger wheel though, that car has suffered more than a just a sandstorm.
Is that genuine or is that a kit car Lambo. No badges or markings on the back and something about it just doesnt quite look right to me. I cant, however, place a finger on it. PDG
I remembered a thread where there was a guy that had one that was ratted out in a field, but is this that same car? PDG
Saw an abandoned 308 at Ft Huachuca, AZ a couple of weeks ago. Didn't get a chance to investigate. In "very" rough status.
