so if this car had a clean no crash history what wld a good deal be for it? 135Kish? or wild it snag 145K?
I understand there is a big difference between people putting their cars up for sale and people actually wanting to sell them. It's for sale at a dealership so one would assume they really want to sell it... not test the market. The other side of the equation is the dealer/owner does not NEED to sell the car. So they can play with it for a while. I went in hoping they wanted to move the car and would price it to move. The hard part is derermining what that price should be. I hope you're right about the market being 120-135, but I suspect that's a little soft. At least for good clean no story cars. I have a copy of the repair order.
It looks like my 348 has finally found a home!! There will be a CS filling it's garage space soon enough.
Cool. Just want to make sure the repairs don't show some kind of frame straightening you know. Who knows how hard that car hit. One hard corner hit could tweak the frame forever I'm soft only for the original Launch cars because those are the cars that collectors typically want in their stables. These are the cars 150k to 160k. None launch cars are selling in my range listed and only in that range. Someone can prove me different but you won't find but 1 or 2 sales higher than that. Most of his 46 cars are working on 12 months of For Sale. The problem isn't entirely the pricing is too high I will admit. The problem is NO MORE Buyers. There are a few guys out there searching but the demand isn't there anymore. Look at Jason he's been looking for a very long time but he might be waiting out what he thinks will be another hit on the pricing. I don't think that that will be for a while. I'd assume of the 46 cars out there for sale that 1/2 will disappear off the market and get tucked back into garages if the pricing creeps down much further. I still feel that sellers that HAD to sell have. I think the balance out there have them for sale just to see. Possibly some of them are there because Wives have said sell that thing? Who knows.
I've been looking since February. This is about how long it takes me to buy anything expensive. I'm on schedule. I'm pretty close on a deal or 2 now. I definitely am ready to write the check. But I'm not paying north of $140K. Sorry fellas.
Id say your bank account The CS is very close to the bottom........... 140k ish for a really nice one is where its at.
How long u gonna wait and miss all the enjoyable driving time. Maybe 1 year down another 10k?.........aint worth the wait for me. If you can afford 120k - 140k whats saving 5k -10k worth to you? I guess thats the question..........
Depends on who you ask (owner, non-owner, dealer or market analyst), but inflation is very low right now, the market has been resurgent, and Ferrari 360s are going through their normal depreciation curve (and the upcoming market entry of the 458). History suggests you'll see continued slow loss of value (unless you drive it a lot, in which case it will depreciate rapidly) for the next 5-10 years. After that, it depends on how many of the 1,300+ 360CS are around in nice condition relative to the buyer pool, and maybe on nostalgia for early 2000s Ferraris. Buy it because you like it, not because it's a "collectible".
+1!!! I totally agree that you shouldn't get raped. however, $5k or so above your perceived top, Jason, is something you should strongly consider. Otherwsie, you will continue to be nothing more than a onlooker...just do it
